Italian spider lift and mast boom manufacturer Platform Basket has appointed Nexa Global Infra Solutions as its sales agent for India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.

Founded in 2023, Nexa is a startup company based in Mumbai and owned by Anirban Ghosh who was a regional manager for JLG India for almost 11 years, leaving at the end of 2022.

Ghosh has worked at JLG India for 11 years and Hilti for five years, looking after their railway, defense and seaport business.

A Platform Basket spokesperson said, “We warmly welcome Anirban and his cooperation to our group. Being in this sector for a long time, Anirban will bring his knowledge in assisting  customers and focus on our extensive product portfolio. We wish Anirban great success.”

The company will represent the complete Platform Basket range including its 13m to 43m working height spider portfolio, as well as the company’s rail mounted boom lifts and new Heron 10 vertical mast lift offering.

Ghosh said, “I am excited to start this new relation with Platform Basket to represent them in India and (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) SAARC countries.”

He added, “Platform Basket has developed a range of railroad boom lifts from 9m to 19m working height that will facilitate more efficient maintenance, inspection and repair work on the rail network in many countries. It provides us further product solutions for the ever growing urban rail transit system (metro) market in India.”
