IEPL’s Aspiring Project
Now, IEPL stands at the threshold of an ambitious new chapter as it nears the completion of its state-of-the-art 12-acre works facility in Gummidipoondi. A robust capacity is being developed to meticulously refurbish over 1,000 units of equipment annually. This expansive facility includes 150,000 square feet of covered shed, complemented by a dedicated 30,000 square feet Training Academy formed to cultivate a sound work force.
Corporate Milestone: A key milestone in the business journey of IEPL is the honour of being appointed as an authorized Hitachi dealer for the Maldives territory.

Among these advancements are the i-Prid slope vibratory compactor (SVB), a groundbreaking solution that has transformed slope compaction; the high-neck/high-bed excavator, a versatile equipment extensively used in dredging and desilting operations; and the dual electric and diesel hybrid excavator, engineered to reduce operational costs, promote sustainability, and align with the green goals through the development of environmentally friendly EV equipment.
i-Prid slope vibratory compactor (SVB): IEPL’s foundational milestone is the SVB, a progressive design in excavator attachments that has redefined slope compaction. This unique and ingenious attachment offers a revolutionary solution, achieving over 97% compaction. By transforming it from a labour-intensive and inefficient task into a streamlined and highly efficient process, the SVB sets new standards in operational excellence and productivity widely applied in projects in irrigation, railways, airports, and highways.
High Bed /High Neck Excavators: The High Bed excavator is expertly engineered to perform effortlessly in the most demanding terrains. Its innovative design excels in environments with elevated water levels, where traditional excavators would falter due to cabin submersion. This advanced machinery reinvents operational capabilities, ensuring unmatched efficiency and reliability in extreme conditions. IEPL implemented an advanced version of the High Bed model with a standard height of 1 meter to 5 meters as needed. IEPL’s creation has successfully spread its reach across various international markets, including the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Singapore, Papua New Guinea & some African countries.
Dual Electric & Diesel Hybrid Excavator: This exclusive machinery is a trailblazing equipment designed to deliver exceptional versatility with its dual power options—Diesel Mode and Electric Mode.
• Diesel Mode is tailored for remote locations lacking electricity or where enhanced mobility is essential.
• Electric Mode is optimized for sites with readily available power, offering a cost-effective and eco-friendly solution.
Equipped with both an advanced Electric Motor and a robust Diesel Engine, this excavator enables seamless switching between power modes at the push of a button from the cabin. This advanced feature empowers operators to adapt effortlessly to varying site requirements, ensuring unparalleled efficiency, flexibility, and performance.
By operating in Electric Mode, users can drastically reduce operating expenses, as electricity costs merely 25% of the diesel cost. This substantial cost advantage not only enhances profitability but also promotes a more sustainable and eco-friendly approach to operations. IEPL has developed a dual option enabling to have double advantages in one machine.
