What specific goals and priorities are you aiming to achieve during Excon 2023?
We are a leading global hydraulic cylinder manufacturer and have specialized products for construction and earthmoving equipment. EXCON brings together our key customers and is a showcase of the latest technologies. This makes EXCON a great platform for fostering relationships, demonstrating technologies, and establishing India as a manufacturing and export hub of construction equipment and components.
Can you provide insights into the range of products you intend to showcase at Excon 2023?
Wipro’s hydraulics solutions at Excon demonstrates capability across the vista of industry segments with safe, efficient, and sustainable products. Tippermatics for truck tipping applications and our electric actuator may be of special interest to visitors at our stall this time.
In the automation section, visitors would be able to engage in a virtual commissioning simulation, with comprehensive data and analytics sharing to enhance their experience.
Aerospace customers would see us display actuators and stub beams for their segment.
We also have on display our F300-2 Additive Manufacturing printer with some printed components that demonstrate its remarkable quality and precision.
How is the company looking at leveraging this opportunity at Excon for business growth?
While customer engagement is ongoing, Excon 2023 is significant in that it serves as a platform for open dialogue on the latest technologies from both our customers and from us. We aim to identify opportunities to collaborate and leverage emerging technologies for collective business growth.
How do you look at your company’s involvement in the smart manufacturing of your products used in construction equipment or your vision for the future in terms of AI, Automation, IoT, Robotics etc?
Smart manufacturing for us is a journey of continuous evolution and we are investing in these capabilities to make cylinder manufacturing more efficient and safer, and to deliver high quality products. Wipro Pari is one of our businesses where we have developed capabilities to help customers automate their manufacturing and warehouse operations to be safer, faster and smarter. Wipro 3D has developed Additive Manufacturing printers and components to speed up development of precision engineered parts.
What do you consider the most critical smart manufacturing technologies for your products used in the construction equipment industry, and why?
Our cylinders play a critical role in the construction equipment. Process Automation ensures efficiency, consistency, and precision in our operations, which translates to high quality of our products and improved uptime for our customers.
With the upcoming and ongoing infrastructure and construction opportunities, how do you intend to assess the performance and outcomes of your business for the coming quarters?
Wipro is a global major in Hydraulics with marquee customers across continents. The best indicator of our performance is the depth of engagement we have across a customer’s product portfolio, the number of global markets that we serve them in and how we grow along with them. At this time, we are strategically aligned with most major OEMs and to their evolving market dynamics, and are in a great position to support them as they navigate the landscape of opportunity that the construction industry offers at the time in multiple geographies.
What is your perspective on the anticipated market dynamics in the sector you are in?
We are optimistic. Some of our key markets are seeing substantial commitment of investments to infrastructure building. This investment is driving the need for more construction equipment as well as replacing old fleet with new productive equipment. India is a great example of this momentum, and we expect to see it sustain well over the medium and long term. We also recognize a marked potential in other developing countries, laying the foundation for additional growth.
