With the perspective to empower the skill development Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council (IESC) has signed a MoU with Crane Owners Association of India. (COAOI)

As part of its ambitious plan to transform the skill landscape in the CE industry, Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council has signed a MoU with the Crane Owners Association of India (COAOI) for training and certification of their operators and mechanics. As per the MoU signed, COAOI will be responsible for providing labour to the companies that are a part of Infrastructure equipment skill council (IESC). Post the training, IESC will provide certificates approved by the Government of India to the employees that have been trained at various companies.

IESC has been spearheading the skilling of workforce in the infrastructure equipment sector over the past three years since its inception and has established a strong foundation in the skill ecosystem. The Council has formulated National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Qualification Packs (QPs) for all the major products covering over 80 per cent of the workforce in the industry with primary focus on training and certification of operators and mechanics at National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) Levels 3 and 4. With pan India presence through its accredited training partners, majority of whom are OEMs, IESC has so far trained close to 5000 personnel.

The agreement was reached with the pro-active support of Deepak Garg, Managing Director, Sany Heavy Industry India, a leading manufacturer of material handling equipment. During the signing of MoU Mitesh Shethia, President COAOI and Anand Sundaresan, Chairman, IESC were present at the Sany stall. The event was held in presence of Xiang Wenbo, Sany Group President, Deepak Garg, CEO Sany South Asia, Dheeraj Panda, Director and Head Excavator Business Unit, Sany Heavy Industry India, and Sanjay Saxena, Vice President& Business Head, Excavator Unit.
