- Donated protective gear for the frontline workers in Maharashtra, including around 1.25 lakh gloves, 50,000 N95 masks and 10,000 PPE kits.
- Successfully provided two Corona Sample Collection Booths to the administration in the Halol plant. CEAT will now be getting 50+ such booths manufactured and will distribute them to the healthcare authorities in 2 weeks’ time.
- Women Self Help Groups, from project beneficiaries in KEC Nagpur, Jabalpur & Jaipur are producing 80,000 cotton facemasks, providing them with a source of livelihood during these unprecedented times.
- Support in resuming transportation of essential goods across the country.
- RPGF & CEAT have partnered with the All India Transporters Welfare Association (AITWA) to sanitise trucks and resume their operations; as of 10th May 20, around 3000 trucks have been sanitised, and hot meals and sanitisers have been provided to truck drivers and their helpers.
- Contribution to a fund set-up by the District Collector of Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu in response to COVID-19.
- Mobilising and maximising support through the COVID-19 Outreach website launched by RPG Foundation, outlining the initiatives undertaken by us (https://covidoutreach.rpggroup.com/).
- SafeSeniors – Seniority, in partnership with RPG Life Sciences, has created SafeSeniors, the predictive analysis tool designed to primarily help early identification of COVID-19 risk amongst the elderly, with its technology backed by Zensar. The tool has been developed in consultation with the leading experts in the areas of infectious diseases, community medicine, clinical pharmacology, and COVID-19 management.
Recently CEAT had undertaken the CoFit-20 initiative under the guidance of Dr. Athawale, the Chief Fitness Officer, to assist employees to keep their well-being in check.
- CEAT recently reached out to around 15000 mechanics and 15000 auto drivers in the cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Nashik, Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Lucknow, Kanpur, Meerut, Agra, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi.
- The CEAT team organized an interaction of mechanics with its Chief Fitness Officer Dr. Athawale. She increased awareness and answered several critical questions of the mechanics with regards to Covid 19. Dr. Athawale answered queries and cleared doubts about what is the Covid-19 virus, how to tackle it, hygiene practices that need to be followed, what food can be consumed by people during this time, how can they ensure the safety of their families and children.
