What specific goals and priorities are you aiming to achieve during Excon 2023?

Isotrack has independently forayed into India at the start of this year and hence this is the very first year wherein we are participating at EXCON, so this proves to be a very important platform for us where we are looking forward to maximising most on creating visibility and awareness of the brand, finding the right connects to strengthen our footprint in this sub- continent and part of the world. We are also looking at educating the visitors and TARGET GROUP about how our range of temporary access mats make huge difference when it comes to the turnaround time and project cost in difficult terrains.

Can you provide insights into the range of products you intend to showcase at Excon 2023?

We are showcasing the X & L mats at EXCON this year. Our mats come in different formats with unparalleled compression strength and excellent traction surface withstanding all weather conditions, to cater to the specific segments and adhere to all standards and conformations worldwide. With ISOTRACK mats there are innumerable advantages like it is simple and quick to build temporary road or platform and facilitate access from humans, vehicles and any heavy machinery or equipment. These mats reduce the cost manifold and can be reused again after completion. These mats are easy to handle and do not need any pre-preparation for laying. They are adorned with versatile features like –

  • Outstanding compressive strength – more than 415 tones/m2.
  • Each mat has excellent traction surfaces on both sides.
  • Surface traction design for safe movement of vehicles.
  • Foam filled core prevents water incursion if mat is punctured after few years (no cross contamination and no additional weight).

How is the company looking at leveraging this opportunity at Excon for business growth?

We believe that EXCON is the place to be when it comes to the CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY as such and hence we are here to create the visibility, showcase our product, inform the stakeholders and gain traction in the segment and market. We believe that the India has a lot of opportunities especially in this sector and we are here to maximise on the same.

How do you look at your company’s involvement in smart manufacturing of products or your vision for the future in terms of AI, Automation, IoT, Robotics etc?

Although a very popular topic worldwide, we are involved particularly in robotics & automatization for a long time already while IoT started a bit later and we are implementing it on case by case basis. Through our CIP, we are particularly working on automatization & robotization of each existing process while with each new CAPEX, we have objective to maximize automatization & robotization of all the processes in manufacturing and other business processes.

CIAG as a group is running in parallel two strategic projects, Smart Factory & Smart Products where we did the evaluation of the potential for both projects throughout all group companies and products. After analysing the outcome, potential action plan was created and executed. Through our BDM & R&D processes and discussions/feedback with customers & users we continuously assess potential to improve our existing products considering “smart” features to be integrated in our products, while for developing any new product we always assess “smart” as from manufacturing and product features.

What do you consider the most critical smart manufacturing technologies for the heavy-duty road mat products industry, and why?

Heavy-Duty road mat manufacturing technology itself is very traditional so from the point of “Smart manufacturing” of such product should be considered as a whole means from raw material preparation, mixing, manufacturing mats to final assembly including all testing and quality control.

From the point of smart product traditionally, warehouse management is most commonly requested feature which we solved by installation of RFID into predesigned RFID pockets and automatic readers. Our customers are also using location management of each single mat particularly for project management and planning, security, automatic invoicing and other analysis.

With the upcoming and ongoing infrastructure and construction opportunities, how do you intend to assess the performance and outcomes of your business for the coming quarters?

As we said, it’s just the start as we are now starting and we are very positive on the outcome. Every product and business has its gestation period and for this too we will need to target the right stakeholders, build visibility, strengthen our footprint with our offering and try and do the right things one step at a time. EXCON is one such platform where we want to display our mats and target the audience. So we are ready for 2024 and do watch out for us.

What is your perspective on the anticipated market dynamics in the heavy-duty road mat sector?

Currently, wood blocks are extensively used in the sector of road construction which is subjected to a lot of wear and tear which has a direct effect on cost of execution in a project. With the foray & usage of these mats which are fairly unknown currently in the sectors we cater to will bring a paradigm shift and a big turnaround when it comes to the timelines for project execution and overall the cost as these mats are durable, can be reused, no maintenance and with the kind of other outstanding features it has, these are up for a revolution.

Could you elaborate on your company’s initiatives and progress in creating eco-friendly products?

As an organisation we have been safe for usage by workers, does not emit any harmful gases nor the surface of the mat is harmful or causes any affect to skin, most importantly it is 100% recyclable. With the usage of these mats there is no temporary construction required at site which eliminates any kind of pollution. Further, there is no damage caused to the top layer of the soil too. Our intent is “PROTECT – BE SAFE”and we adopt all measures to ensure that from manufacturing to handling to installation to usage is sustainable in every way.
