Do you believe the PLI Scheme is effectively enhancing India’s competitiveness in the global construction and mining equipment market?
The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme
has emerged as a significant catalyst in enhancing India’s manufacturing competitiveness in the construction and mining equipment sector. As a company with over eight decades of manufacturing excellence, TIL Limited has witnessed how this scheme has accelerated indigenous manufacturing capabilities and encouraged increased investment in R&D and technology integration. Looking ahead to the next 3-5 years, we anticipate the scheme will drive significant localisation of critical components, expand export opportunities through improved cost structures, and generate substantial employment in skilled manufacturing roles.. Support for technology acquisition and R&D investments, coupled with focused initiatives for skill development and training programs, would strengthen the scheme’s impact. Given our state-of-the-art facilities and global partnerships, TIL is well-positioned to leverage these incentives for sustainable growth while contributing to India’s emergence as a global manufacturing hub. The scheme’s emphasis on local manufacturing aligns perfectly with our commitment to the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives.
