How do you experience the demand for concrete as there are increased construction activities happening in transportation infrastructure, irrigation and realty segments?
The demand for the concrete and concrete equipment has steeply risen due to the big push for infrastructure development through the Government’s National Infrastructure Pipeline. The RMC setup sector is growing, and tapping the ‘Ready Mix Concrete’ business like never before.
Irrigational projects also contribute. The realty sector especially in the metros which has been hit due to the pandemic has bounced back and most of the high-rise projects are reliant on the Ready Mix Concrete and concreting technologies.
What are the emerging trends in concrete batching plants? What are the key solutions from the company?
Schwing Stetter’s range of concrete batching plants caters to an entire spectrum of concreting requirements from minuscule projects to large hydro power projects. The emerging trends in batching plants which Schwing Stetter has capitalized already is the remote operation/access/trouble shooting and data collection, which drastically reduces the onsite manpower. Our batching plants ranging from CP 18 to H6N are equipped with IOT and Telematics and they are 24/7 connected with the centralized control center, providing instant feedback and instructions.
How is technology evolving in concrete pumping and placing?
More and more clients are moving towards Boom Pumps due to its flexibility and mobility in constrained areas. Today, 3D printing of buildings using ‘Special Concrete’ is slowly gaining prominence and is still a evolving technology. Our Boom pumps armed with robotic concrete dispenser will become the future of concrete placement. Today, our concrete Pumps are embedded with IOT and Telematics for accurate pumping and efficiency.
What are the major types of concrete pumps used in construction projects?
Schwing Stetter offers a wide range of Concrete Pumps for different applications. There are Stationary Pumps, Truck Mounted Boom Pumps, Line Pumps & Special Placing Booms for a wide variety of applications.
Today, major roads & bridge constructions are using our Boom Pumps suck as S36, S43 and S47 meters in large numbers due to its flexibility and maneuverability and also eliminating the time required for setting up pipe line in constrained areas. Similarly, Schwing Stetter high range pumps such as Sp9800, are the high capacity stationary pumps used for very high rise structures such as the Petronas, Burj Khalifa & the Statue of Unity to name a few.
What are the key maintenance practices to be followed for the upkeep of concrete equipment, viz. batching plants, pumps & transit mixers?
Daily maintenance, Scheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance are of paramount importance for
– Reduced inventory cost
– Eliminating unexpected failures
– Reduce the downtime and thereby the productivity loss.
All Schwing Stetter equipment wherever possible have diagnostic tools to measure the wear levels with instruments to show the maintenance intervals. Schwing Stetter offers training programs exclusively on the maintenance of concreting products.
