What is your focus for Gujarat CONEX?

Schwing Stetter India’s main focus for the Gujarat CONEX event is about taking advantage of the opportunity to interact with our regional customers and target audiences with our machines on display. The exhibition has provided us a space to showcase our innovative product range in a state where a lot of infra dev is happening.

Are you planning to showcase any new products or innovations?

Yes, we will be displaying new products and innovations in the exhibition which will be launched at the event.

From your company’s perspective, please offer your views of the inaugural edition of Gujarat CONEX and what do you feel will be the strengths of the exhibition?

We believe that this exhibition can facilitate discussions among industry leaders and policymakers to promote infrastructure growth in Gujarat and India. It will also feature cutting-edge technology, industry best practices, and foster collaboration for numerous opportunities. We believe that this exhibition will be a great platform for us to showcase our range of products and solutions for the infrastructure and construction industry in India and abroad.

How do you look at the market in India for your range of products?

The market in India for our range of products is very promising and competitive. We have been able to establish ourselves as the leading manufacturer and supplier of infrastructure equipment in the country, with a strong presence in the concreting and construction segments. We have also been recognized by the government of India for our in-house R&D entity, which has enabled us to launch 14 new products last year and planning to launch 25 new products this year in the CE market with innovative features and optimized performance. We have also been able to expand our exports to neighbouring ASEAN countries and other regions, such as Brazil, the USA, GCC, Munich, eastern Europe, and central Africa.

How have the sales been for the company this year, and given the ongoing and upcoming building and infrastructural opportunities, what are your sales projections for FY23?

Last year (In 2022) Schwing Stetter India Witnessed its highest turnover since its stint in India. But the Steep hike in the Steel prices and other allied cost increases are a worry which has been to an extend been addressed through lean manufacturing process, JIT practices and Digitalization of After sales support network such as E-Commerce platform for Customers. We expect our turnover to increase by 53 % this year based on the sales projection, and the due to increase in the product portfolio to the Schwing Stetter Stable.

What are the emerging technological trends in your range of products?

The emerging technological trends in our range of products are focused on enhancing the productivity, efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our machines. We have introduced telematics features to our heavy-duty equipment, such as excavators, boom pumps, wheel loaders, and others, which allow us to monitor the status, location, and performance of the machines remotely. This helps us to optimize the utilization and availability of the equipment, as well as to predict and prevent any maintenance issues. We have also launched a fully EV shotcrete machine, which is a green and eco-friendly solution for tunnelling and mining applications. We are constantly exploring new ways to incorporate digitalization, automation, and electrification into our products and services.

What are your investments made in the Indian market in terms of manufacturing facility, distribution network and other aspects?

Our investments made in the Indian market in terms of manufacturing facility, distribution network, and other aspects are substantial and strategic. We have five manufacturing facilities in India, including the Global Manufacturing Hub (GmH) at Cheyyar, which is equipped with technologically integrated manufacturing facilities. This facility produces a wide range of products, such as concrete trailer pumps, boom pumps, stationary pumps, self-loading mixers, shotcrete pumps, and excavators, which are consumed domestically and exported globally. We are also planning for expansion of our facilities with an investment plan for about 300 crores more in the next few years. We are committed to providing our customers with world-class products and solutions that meet their diverse needs and expectations.
