What are your latest compaction equipment models, and how do they cater to the evolving needs of the industry?

BOMAG continues to innovate and adapt to the rapidly changing construction industry. Our latest compaction equipment models are designed to meet the needs of modern infrastructure projects. A standout model is the BOMAG BW 212-5 CL Single Drum Roller, built for heavy-duty compaction in challenging conditions, common in India’s diverse terrain. This roller features a CEV Stage V engine, which is environmentally friendly and provides impressive fuel savings with ECOMODE technology. Additionally, ECOSTOP automatically stops the engine when the machine is idle, further optimizing fuel use and reducing emissions.

What advancements in vibration technology, drum design, and soil stabilization techniques have been introduced to improve compaction efficiency?

BOMAG offers advanced vibration technology and measurement systems to improve compaction quality for soil and asphalt. With incorporation of ECONOMISER & ASPHALT MANAGER, operators receive real-time data on compaction density, enabling faster, more efficient work while reducing fuel consumption.

BOMAG’s technologies include Economizer, Asphalt Manager, and BOMAP. For deep compaction.

BOMAG polygonal rollers, reaching of deep compaction. We provide a range of drum types, including smooth, padfoot, polygonal and rock crush.

BOMAG also specializes in mix-in-place soil stabilization with RS series machines, improving load-bearing capacity and reducing construction costs.

How are import duties, fluctuating raw material costs, and supply chain constraints affecting the industry?

The construction equipment sector in India faces challenges like fluctuating raw material costs, rising import duties, and supply chain constraints. These factors have increased equipment prices, potentially affecting customer purchasing decisions. However, BOMAG is addressing these challenges by localizing production, optimizing supply chains, and working closely with suppliers to ensure we offer the best value to our customers.

How crucial is operator training, service support, and digital diagnostics in ensuring the longevity and efficiency of compaction equipment?

Operator training is essential for extending the lifespan and efficiency of compaction equipment. Properly trained operators help reduce wear and fuel consumption, while improving compaction quality. Service support is also vital, with BOMAG providing regular maintenance and quick-response service to keep machines in optimal condition. Digital diagnostics play a key role by identifying issues early, allowing for proactive repairs that increase equipment efficiency and longevity. Our fleet management system includes features like geofencing, remote diagnostics, and secure data capture, which reduce downtime and increase uptime.

What strategies has your company implemented to enhance aftermarket support, spare parts availability, and customer service?

BOMAG has implemented several strategies to enhance aftermarket support, including offering comprehensive warranty packages, providing genuine spare parts, and ensuring fast delivery times. Our service team makes it easy for customers to order parts quickly, minimizing delays. We also prioritize customer service, with a skilled team that offers rapid response times and technical support to resolve issues promptly.

How is your company addressing sustainability in compaction equipment through fuel efficiency, alternative power sources (electric/hybrid), and emission control?

Sustainability is a key focus for BOMAG. We have developed fuel-efficient machinery, like the BOMAG BW 212-5 CL Single Drum Roller, which features ECOMODE to optimize fuel consumption without sacrificing performance. This reduces carbon emissions and lowers operational costs for customers. BOMAG is also focused on emission control technologies that comply with India’s stringent environmental regulations, such as Stage V engines, which meet the latest emission standards.

What trends will shape the future of compaction equipment in India over the next 5-10 years?

Over the next 5-10 years, several trends will shape the future of compaction equipment in India. These include a greater focus on automation, IoT integration, and eco-friendly machinery (such as hybrid and electric options). Digitization and data-driven decision-making will continue to grow, while the demand for machines that are easy to operate and maintain will increase. As infrastructure projects scale up, machines will need to be adaptable to India’s diverse terrains and challenging conditions. BOMAG is committed to leading these trends, ensuring that our equipment helps shape the future of India’s infrastructure.
