BKT Agrimax tires to equip the first driverless tractor by Escorts
The Automated Concept Tractor – Escort’s first driverless tractor, was revealed on the occasion of Escorts Exclusive 2018, the event dedicated to dealers, partners and the main customers of the engineering group from India. The Escorts Agri Machinery Division presented the new project of automated farming solutions based on the use of new technologies and next-generation digital vehicles within the scope of precision farming.
In November last year, Escorts launched Farmtrac 26 E, an electric compact tractor with a lithium-ion battery – a versatile and robust high-performance line offering maximum driving comfort – being, of course, fully equipped with BKT tires. The new tractor is also exclusively fitted with BKT branded radial Agrimax tires.
Escorts, a renowned brand for its tractor ranges Farmtrac and Powertrac, has co-operated with real giants in the field of technology such as Microsoft, Reliance Jio, Trimble, Samvardhana Motherson Group, Wabco, Bosch and AVL. In addition, it allows for maximized load capacity (+40%) at the same inflation pressure compared to a standard tire of the same size.
