What are your views on making India as a global construction equipment manufacturing hub?

The Construction Equipment (CE) Industry’s “Vision Plan 2030: Building the Nation” can only be achieved by unlocking this industry’s true potential through sustained demand creation, building a robust operating eco-system and building a stable foundation.

India’s CE industry eco-system is characterised by a large number of players including OEMs, suppliers, bankers; financiers, traders amongst others. 

In pursuit of this objective, we have to strengthen manufacturing Indian CE industry with hi-tech equipment, provide comprehensive information of CE industry stakeholders including OEMs, suppliers/vendors and financiers etc., promote Indian CE products in the international markets and need investments in Indian CE industry through global suppliers setting up manufacturing base in India.

Give us details about your manufacturing facilities in India?

Dozco – the venture started in 1983 at Dhanbad with a focus on Heavy Earth Moving Machinery Spares. Our main activity includes: Manufacturing of Attachments & Parts and Distribution of Spares & Equipment. Dozco is a 100% family-owned Company, promoted by Bangurs, and backed by a team of dedicated professionals. At present, the company is covering Pan India at 35 strategic locations and Sales subsidiary in Australia.

Dozco established state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in 39000 sq. meter area at Visakhapatnam in 2013 with an in-house R&D, Designing Centre. The manufacturing facilities includes all process in-house i.e., for Machining, Heat Treatment, Fabrication, Assembly, Painting shop and ISO 9001:2015 certified company. The manufacturing products of Dozco include, are Rock Breaker, Chisel, Undercarriage components & other miscellaneous parts.

On 31st Oct’, 2019, Italtractor ITM SpA (ITM), Italy and Dozco (India) made a Joint venture company. The JV firm – ITM DOZCO India Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturing of undercarriage components, enjoying sizeable market share in India and also export to many countries.

We manufacture the below products-

1   Rock Breakers – Make in India

     DOZCO manufactures Rock Breakers (Make in India), suitable for Mini Excavator, Backhoes, Skid Steer Loaders and Excavator from 1 to 100 Ton class. Dozco is a leading manufacturer of Rock Breaker and used by various OEM’s in India and overseas market.

DOZCO Rock Breakers are most suitable for demolition, agriculture, trenching, tunnelling, breaking asphalt & concrete etc. and for primary/secondary breaking in stone quarries, iron ore and various other mining.

2   Tools (Chisels) – Make in India

     Suitable for all model and make of Rock Breakers, Ranging diameter from 40 mm to 200 mm and Length from 450 mm to 1600 mm, Blunt, Conical, Moil Point & Wedge type are manufactured by in house machining and heat treatment.

3   Track Chain – Make in India

     Track Chains ranging from 135 mm to 280 mm pitch (manufactured by JV firm – ITM DOZCO INDIA PVT. LTD.) ; Suitable for all types of crawler machines; We manufacture Dry, Sealed & Greased and Lubricated Track Chains.

4   Rock Bucket – Make in India

     Buckets are manufactured for Mini Excavators for it’s multiple application, HB (High wear resistance steel) buckets for 20 ton to 50 tons of class of Excavators.

5   Track Frame – Make In India

     Track Frame is a part of U/c which is a lower part of Excavators, Drill Machines, Surface Miners, etc. U/c components and hydraulic system are mounted on the same. Suitable for all types of Road machines and Excavators.

6   Track Guards – Make In India

     Suitable for all kind of crawler machines for various model up to 120 T class of Excavator.

How technologically advanced are your manufacturing facilities in India? Also, what are the safety features incorporated in these facilities?

Our all machines are with latest world class technology. Dozco is ISO certified company and all safety norms are incorporated as per ISO norms.

Can you give us a brief about your employment strength in terms of contractual and payroll and your company’s initiatives in skilling and training?

We have 700+ employee and all are in payroll. We conduct at least four times training program on our product and then on stillness also.

How do you make use of robotics in your facilities?

We have one robotic welding machine for rock breaker frame.

Tell us on your export market and important initiatives to cater to the requirement of International market?

Dozco exports their own manufactured product to Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, USA, Canada, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Indonesia. We have our own branch in Australia to cater the demand of those areas.

What are your future plans to cash-in the infrastructure boom in India?

We have covered Pan India with our own 35 strategic branch to be nearer to our customer. Some more branches are supposed to be opened soon. We want to be nearer to our customer to meet their requirement and provide them our best after-sales-service. Our plan is to see that our customers make money out of our product.
