How do you perceive the growth of the asphalt plant / pavers market in the past five years? What are the key factors driving this growth?
Due to a shift from concrete roads to bituminous roads, the demand for Asphalt pavers has increased.
What are the latest innovations in asphalt plant technology that you have introduced? How do these innovations improve efficiency and quality?
Complete range of pavers offered by Vogele are best in quality and quite cost competitive. While choosing a product cost is only not the factor for a customer. There are several other factors like performance, fuel consumption, robustness, resale value, life cycle, paving quality, maintenance frequency, etc which when compared – makes ownership of Vogele Pavers – a very optimum value proposition.
To what extent are automation and control systems being integrated into asphalt plants / pavers? What are the benefits and challenges of this integration?
For precise temperature measurement and related data recording Vogele offers Roadscan technology which collects all the thermal data with the help of infrared camera and helps in taking necessary decisions related to quality paving. For other forms of data collection and analysis Wirtgen groups offers WITOS telematic system which collects all the paving, machine data in real-time and stores in cloud server which can be accessed in real-time as well as afterwards for analysis and planning.
How have advancements in materials and design improved the maintenance and durability of asphalt plants / pavers?
WITOS paving plus is one technology developed and used by Vogele. It networks all those involved in the paving process starting from the Asphalt mixing plants, tipper, pavers, compactors, etc to all personnel. It collects real-time data from all the aforementioned component and sends to cloud server from where all concerned can access this data in real time and plan their process accordingly. This helps in proper utilization and optimization of Manpower, Material, Money and of course machinery.
How do your products ensure compliance with the latest environmental regulations? Are there any specific technologies or practices you have implemented to minimize environmental impact?
To enable us to achieve our sustainability goals, we focus on three fields of action: Operations, namely how we manufacture our products in our factories; Machine efficiency, i.e. the development of innovative product solutions and Production Systems, system solutions for special usage cases. The new battery-electric MINI 500e and MINI 502e Mini Class road pavers from Vögele are the ideal choice for local zero-emission asphalt paving projects. These are currently offered for the Europe market only.
