What are your plans for buama CONEXPO INDIA in terms of product display?

bauma CONEXPO INDIA offers us an excellent platform to showcase our latest offerings in products and services to customers, especially in North India. We are keen on displaying our versatile, CEV IV-compliant Backhoe Loader model Shinrai Prime, our newly launched, indigenously developed, NextGen 3 Ton Mini Excavator model NX30 along with some of our mid-range construction excavators. Also, on display will be parts, attachments, and solutions offered by us.

From your company’s perspective, please offer your views of bauma CONEXPO INDIA as a business generating platform for the CE sector?

As bauma CONEXPO INDIA is returning after four years with the theme of ‘Future of Nation Building’, we are eagerly waiting to participate in the event to showcase our readiness in building the India of tomorrow. With North India emerging as the epicentre of infra-development, this trade show happening in Greater Noida will have more significance as it will bring together all the important stakeholders and decision-makers in the Construction Equipment sector.

In addition to this, physical events like this give us the ability to give customers, policymakers, and other attendees a first-hand touch and feel of our machines, which is important in an industry like ours. The platform also provides us an opportunity to demonstrate our technologically advanced and future-ready solutions. More importantly, this exhibition will help us to connect, interact and exchange ideas with our customers, dealers, vendor partners, and others, which will help us gain insights into the market, thereby helping us accelerate our continuous process of upgrading and expanding our product portfolio.

How do you look at the market in India for your range of products?

The CE industry was fortunate to clock 12% growth in the 1st year of the pandemic, 2020-21, driven mainly by earthmoving equipment sales. However, post the implementation of BV4 norms last year i.e., 2021-22 CE industry saw a degrowth by 11%. Again, mainly in earthmoving and road construction equipment segments. This year, the 1st half has seen a robust growth of nearly 20% YoY, mainly due to the base effect and we expect the industry to recover and post double-digit growth for the full year, given the Capex focus of the central and state governments.

Next year is the penultimate year before elections in H1 2024 and therefore we expect the government to continue its focus on growing the economy through Capex and focus on execution.

What are the emerging technological trends in your range of products?

To cater to meet the demand forecast, Tata Hitachi has been a pioneer in introducing the latest technologically advanced equipment in the Indian market.

Tata Hitachi has the EX Super+ of excavators and ZAXIS GI series of excavators where features like online access to the location of equipment, online health monitoring system, etc. have been included apart from several other improvements.

Tata Hitachi’s TL340H wheel loader is designed with efficiency at its core, apart from its Hydrostatic technology – as against most competition players offer traditional hydrodynamic technology – is equipped with a variable displacement pump to further its fuel savings advantage. To provide customers with real-time status of the machine, TL340H is also equipped with Insite. We have also introduced our new wheel loader model ZW225 incorporating the latest technology from Hitachi to cater to the fast-growing 5T wheel loader market aimed at mining and large-scale material handling.

Our latest offerings in backhoe loaders are SHINRAI PRIME & SHINRAI PRO. These have been designed to meet demanding Indian customer requirements. A major segment of the Indian backhoe loader market is hiring; hence fuel consumption is the major criterion. Tata Hitachi’s SHINRAI series boosts fuel efficiency with its EHS (Excellent Hydraulic System), wherein the flow is regulated by sensing the pressure of the system. Apart from
low fuel consumption, SHINRAI PRIME also has high bucket forces, dump height, and good reaches for customers looking at cost-effective performance and productivity. Both our Backhoe Loaders and Wheel Loaders are CEV IV ready.

Apart from this, we have launched EX70 PRIME recently with a range of enhanced features and improvements. Our latest offering is NX30 – an indigenously designed and developed Mini Excavator. This is the first excavator from the Next Gen series.

In addition to our strong products, we also offer a comprehensive range of support solutions that include Full Maintenance Contracts, Annual Maintenance Contracts & Extended Warranty.

We also have our Field Diagnostic Vehicles designed for faster reach and provide immediate on-site resolutions in addition to mobile workshops that can reach close to customers and carry out repairs.

We will continue to introduce next-generation machines for our customers basis the emerging requirements to offer the most cost-effective high performance, and reliable products and solutions.
