The economy is on a slow growth path this year. What will be the impact of this on construction and the wheel loader market?
We understand that the economy has taken a crucial hit during the past two years and has become comparatively slower, but the construction equipment industry has been doing well for the past two years with no dip in demand. Schwing expects to keep up the performance while expecting the market to continue its good run for the coming 3-4 years. It can be said that the demand for wheel loaders had dropped last year but we were still able to move a significant volume of wheel loaders.
Tell us about the key developments, designs and trends being witnessed in the wheel loader market in terms of hp / tonnage, and shift towards higher capacity wheel loaders?
We understand that the requirement of work load per day is increasing gradually across all the applications of wheel loader in the industry. To cater to these rising demands, we had launched 2 four-tier wheel loaders titled ZL 33 FV and ZL 55 GV which has 10% more payload capacity without increasing the fuel requirements of the machine. With these new launched machines, we plan to meet the consumer requirements that can battle the rising fuel prices by matching it with a higher work output.
For wheel loader customers, operational economy plays a major role rather than costly features. How do you look at the after-sales services as a key in this direction?
Keeping in mind the plight of our customers to work in an operational economy, we have launched the fresh models ZL 33 FV and ZL 55 GV in the EXCON 2K21 which took place last May. These machines can provide 10% payload delivery compared to their predecessors. At Schwing, we believe that service is the key to success and we have been proving it with our 25+ three-year dealerships providing quick service all over India without fail.
What are the attachments available for wheel loaders? How do you view the potential for this segment?
In the current Indian market, the most selling wheel loader attachment has been the standard range of buckets. XCMG also has a wide range of attachments available for customers with specific spatial requirements. We believe that these attachments have a potentially large market in India, as multiple applications like log handling, bagasse handling, and side dumping. These attachments that include side dump buckets are set to cater to any customer requirements.
What are the key challenges and suggestions to iron out those challenges faced in the wheel loader segment?
The major challenge faced by the construction equipment industry is keeping the operational costs under control owing to the rising fuel prices in the country. To match the rising fuel prices with higher payload outputs we have launched new 4-tier wheel loaders titled L 33 FV and ZL 55 GV. We plan to face any rising challenges of the industry in the same manner with our record-breaking engineering.
