What was your focus at bauma CONEXPO INDIA?

MANN+HUMMEL presented it’s latest solutions at bauma CONEXPO INDIA stall, focusing on construction industry & technologies related to upcoming emission norms in India. Another highlight: filtration solutions for new drive train technologies from a global drive and perspective to keep visitors and business stakeholders to be informed about. We had many experts from product development of our technology products as well as customer key contacts through-out the show.

We displayed our key products for engine air filtration, oil and fuel filtration as well as cabin air filtration.  On top of our conventional portfolio, we also showcased competitive technology introductions like:

– MANN+HUMMEL’s comprehensive hydraulic filtration portfolio (high pressure in-line filters, in-tank filters, low pressure filters, spin-on & breather etc.)

– System expertise for fuel cell powertrains with a wide range of offerings like Cathode air cleaner, Water separator, Resonator, Humidifier, Ion exchange filter, Coolant particle filter, H2ICE crankcase ventilator etc.

– Solutions for e-mobility consisting of battery venting unit & e-axle filters

– Smart Filter Monitoring and Digitalization solutions focusing key aspects of vehicle servicing by demonstrating the remaining useful life and service prediction of filtration components.

The Indian government has put an impetus on speeding up infrastructure projects in the country which has put pressure on the construction equipment industry. How do you see the market for your products?

The ICEMA briefing during bauma CONEXPO INDIA underlined huge growth in the Indian construction equipment industry. The production volume expected to grow more than 4 times by 2030 and India expected to be #2 in global market CE market. Demand for smaller equipment like mini excavators, loaders, telehandlers are also expected in a significant proportion. Hence, the demand for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and equipment are said to grow undeniably. Alongside witnessing the new launches from major manufactures, demand for latest technology product is at an all-time high.

Our OE customers and end users rely on our expertise and experience in the field of filtration technology for many decades. By securing the best protection possible of their engines and machinery we take care of one of their major concerns. Growing demand for genuine and high-quality parts mainly driven by the enhanced awareness about obvious advantages in the power and delivery performance of the engines or vehicles by active maintenance of filters and other accessories. This is apart from protection and extended life of engines and machines. Genuine OES filters maximize vehicle performance and increase flow of clean air into the engine, resulting in high power and reduction in fuel consumption of the vehicle. These is exceptionally important considering the extreme operation conditions and cost of ownership concerns from Indian subcontinent.

How has bauma CONEXPO INDIA helped you as a business generating platform and what do your feel were the strengths of the exhibition?

bauma CONEXPO INDIA provided the opportunity to interact with experts from the construction industry and gave us the chance to exchange ideas and information. During four days of the exhibition many global and Indian OE representatives and high-quality trade visitors walked-in to the event. As this segment is evolving, we also had various new technology products showcased in our booth. We could also engage with our stakeholders on amount of localization projects for various portfolio products focusing the CE segment in India and many more in pipeline and had good amount of discussions with various manufacturing OEMs as well as system developers. We are looking forward to continue with fruitful discussions on the leads received during this event in to business solutions to our customers.
