Tell us about the unique features of your range of mobile cranes?
Technological advancements are the biggest USP of all Sany products. Sany mobile cranes also come equipped with an intelligent control system. It is laced with a self-developed controller for engineering machinery. Its electrical control also ensures a simple harness and steady signal transmission for real-time auto-monitoring of operation conditions.
Sany mobile cranes offer high stability & driving flexibility along with high efficiency and maximum lifting capacity. The adjustable hydraulic system and engine’s multimode power output function also contribute toward reduced fuel consumption without compromising on efficiency. Additionally, a double-axle drive provides good manoeuvrability and comfort even under complex road conditions.

One of the major advantage for certain models is the partial counterweight carrying capability for All Terrain Cranes while travelling on road. This feature results in considerable savings in mobilization/de-mobilization costs for the customer.
What are the perceptible trends and advancements in technologies and how have you been able to leverage these advantages in the mobile crane segment?
Complying with new emission norms, Sany has launched four new CEV Stage IV truck cranes STC 250C, STC 450C, STC600C and STC800C. The new cranes are laced with an adjustable hydraulic system and intelligent electric control system, which boasts its efficiency with low fuel consumption. Its unique technology provides stability and safety during arduous operations.
What are the safety issues that are associated with mobile cranes?
The Mobile cranes are the most powerful type of equipment used for heavy industrial and construction projects. Mobile cranes are indispensable assistants in lifting heavy loads, lowering and transporting loads. Working with the cranes can pose many hazards and unsafe working practices can result in injuries, fatalities, and costly damage to buildings and materials.
There are several safety hazards associated with mobile cranes such as falling off load, hitting and crushing of a load to existing facilities, crane overload, electrical hazards, and the toppling of a crane etc. Operator incompetency, slipping, high wind speed, poor communication and visibility, and mechanical failure are often the major reasons behind such fatal accidents. To prevent such accidents, Sany delivers onsite training to the service team, whenever a machine is delivered to the customers as per the industry norms.
What kinds of services and solutions have been offered by you in terms of quality of the products as well as to add brand value?
We not only sell the world’s best construction equipment but also impart adequate knowledge for their safe and efficient usage to the customers. Adding to its brand value, Sany has developed the ‘EVI APP’ for Sany’s machine owners, which helps users to manage equipment status through IOT data lake architecture. With the help of this app, customers can search live locations & track their equipment. We also impart onsite training to the operators on basic machine troubleshooting and machine maintenance practices.
Apart from that, we have also set up a multilingual call centre for customers’ assistance and machine health check-ups. Sany ensures successful implementation of all these customer support initiatives through a strong dealership network of over 37 dealers and more than 150+ touch points across India and South Asia. What do you think are the challenges and new avenues in the mobile crane segment?
The fluctuating economic scenario due to the ongoing pandemic, slow clearance procedure, demand-supply gap, and unfavourable laws and taxes are some of the major challenges which are hampering the growth of the mobile crane market in India. In spite of a promising future of the industry in a developing nation like India; there are several loopholes that are impeding the growth of the market.
The new avenues in the mobile crane segment are advanced mechanized solutions, high-loading capacity, low fuel consumption, multi-activity slew mobile cranes and easy disassemble system of mobile cranes, etc. These trends will dominate the mobile crane manufacturing market. Manufacturers are also spending on research and development for further modification in their machinery system.
