What are the products that you have launched at Excon this year?

Our primary focus lies in diesel engines, ranging from 1.3 to 4.6 liters. While we offer a diverse range of products, we’re placing a spotlight on these specific models at this time. Notably, engines up to 3.3 liters have been proudly manufactured in our Chennai factory, a testament to our commitment to ‘Make in India’. We take pride in being a Japanese company firmly rooted in India, showcasing our dedication to this market. Our strong presence here stems from our unwavering determination to cater to the needs of the Indian populace. Our engines have garnered significant acclaim, particularly in the construction machinery sector across the USA, Europe, Japan, Korea and China.

How do you manage production scalability to meet the demands of your customers?

There’s a visible trend indicating a future surge in the demand for smaller construction equipment in the near future. I am confident that our Chennai factory boasts ample capacity to accommodate this anticipated growth. Our engines are specifically tailored to cater to the demands of the construction machinery sector in India. Our engines will be met and exceeded the expectations of all construction machinery Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), ensuring their satisfaction.

How do you think Yanmar Engines are different from its competitors?

We excel in performance and quality, confidently leading in our class. Especially, outstanding durability and fuel consumption and suitability for construction machinery of our products which have been proven by market feedback over the world will definitely increase value of equipment. 

But it’s not solely about that; we’re expanding our services. Our focus lies in delivering exceptional user-friendly experiences. We don’t just cater to end users; our solutions extend to OEMs effortlessly, offering easy design, installation, and adept management of emission regulations.

What are the challenges and bottlenecks you feel is there in the market presently?

In the Indian market, price sensitivity is a significant factor – initial pricing often influences judgments. But our approach involves sharing not only products but comprehensive solutions. I would like all to acknowledge again that our products provide the highest reliability in quality and very good fuel consumption. Those features amazingly support TCO for end users. And not only the merits of product itself, I firmly believe that our customers will grasp the depth of value we offer. It’s crucial to articulate and inform them effectively, enabling a full understanding of the solutions we provide. Our satisfaction lies in ensuring they comprehend our offerings. For us, conducting business isn’t merely about transactions; it’s about delivering solutions that truly address needs.
