What recent innovations have you introduced in your piling rigs? How do you incorporate new technologies (such as IoT, AI, automation) into your piling rigs?

Environmental sustainability is increasingly vital on specialist foundation engineering construction sites. Urban environments, in particular, have stringent regulations concerning exhaust emissions, noise reduction, and vibration-free operations, which companies must comply with during their work.

In response to this, an electrically driven drilling rig based on the BAUER BG 33 is developed, replacing the diesel engine with a robust electric drive, this along with other new technologies like:

Stability Plus assistance system for enhanced flexibility and safety on construction sites, our Stability Plus assistant monitors real-time stability parameters for our drilling rigs, such as outreach, mast inclination, and upper carriage slewing speed. This allows operators to adapt to site conditions without compromising safety. Stability Plus doesn’t just support stability; it enables extended outreach by considering stability factors. With the push of a button, operators can select the optimal stability chart based on the equipment used. Customers can choose from pre-calculated equipment options in B-Tronic for the right stability at all times. Additionally, the system supports uploading new stability data via the DTR module and “Data to Rig.” When new drilling equipment is purchased, the stability file can be remotely uploaded to the rig and made available immediately.

Digital Solutions Digitalization has rapidly transformed nearly every industry, including specialist foundation engineering. We’re actively developing Site 4.0, BIM, data recording, storage, analysis, and APIs. Our software tools, WEB-BGM and Fielddata, along with other digital solutions, help users enhance their digital processes.

Working closely with our customers, we continually refine the digital site process from planning to execution, including the representation of nominal values and quality documentation.
