Schwing Stetter India marked a significant milestone in contributing to the Nation’s 2070 net-zero goal by introducing the sustainability focussed products featuring sludge pump, C&D waste crushers, concrete recycling plant, FBP 29 (truck mixer pump), Rubble Master and AWT 36 articulating water tower showcasing the company’s dedication in delivering high performance environmentally conscious equipment.
At the Bharat Construction Equipment exhibition, Schwing Stetter India showcased its completely new range of equipment that are not even in its regular production. “Here we are showcasing a different concept,” said VG Sakthikumar, Chairman & MD, Schwing Stetter India.
One of the products displayed is RM60 which does the job where it crushes the demolition waste back into aggregate so that it can be used again in construction. This will bring down the strain what it has been created on solid waste dumping yards making it a responsible construction indeed.
Another interesting product displayed is wet concrete recycling plant. Usually when the concrete produced is in excess and there is no further use, it’s a perishable item. This generally gets disposed of in water bodies and it has a big impact on ground water resources of the nation. This recycling plant can convert unused concrete back into aggregate and slurry, and both can be used in further production as nothing goes waste on site.
The company also showcased sludge pump that can convert sludge (generated in wastewater recycling) into bio-manure. This is an established process popular in the US, Europe and China. In India such demonstration has not happened so far. “We are in the final stage of convincing one of the city corporations to put up this plant on a trial basis. Once it is successful, all cities, whatever may be the flow of wastewater through underground disposal system, can treat them and recover water can be used for any application,” Sakthikumar said.
The fourth product showcased is a fire pump, which is actually a concrete pump. This is a new product which we have launched here. The biggest advantage for using concrete boom pump for firefighting application is when the city is dense or buildings are very close, telescopic booms cannot reach in one direction. These boom pumps are good in reaching any direction. The Mumbai and Delhi Fire Brigades have started using these pumps as a firefighting machinery. In Kumbh Mela, UP Government is using three of them as standby machines for emergency use in case of any calamity. “This is getting a good traction and we are hopeful other state governments also see the performance and follow. We have many metropolitan cities, and we also have Amrut cities, all of them require this.
The FBP truck mixer pump is another revolutionary product on the showcase. Normally the truck mixer goes and delivers concrete in boom pump and boom pump does the pumping of concrete into the site. Here, there is a single machine where boom pump and mixer are in the same unit, first time in India. “We are hoping this exhibition to be a success for this product because most ready-mix companies have to cater to small volume customers,” concludes Sakthikumar.
