How do you look at this edition of bauma compared to the earlier versions?
This edition of bauma was a milestone for BOMAG as it marked our debut as a standalone brand in India. It provided the perfect platform to showcase our MAKE IN INDIA initiative, featuring domestically manufactured machines tailored to India’s construction needs
We highlighted BOMAG’s legacy of over 60 years as a global leader in compaction technology, unveiling a 12-tonne compactor designed exclusively for the Indian market and an 11-tonne class compactor crafted for export markets. Our display also included the cutting-edge heavy tandem roller, versatile light equipment and a durable soil stabilizer, already supported by a robust sales and service network across India.
The positive response over the three days, marked by high footfall and strong inquiries, underscores the success of our MAKE IN INDIA focus. It reflects BOMAG’s commitment to delivering innovative, localized solutions while contributing to India’s growing infrastructure sector.
What are the unique features of the products you have showcased?
Our compactors boast a lubrication-free design, removing the need for grease points entirely. This reduces maintenance time, prevents premature failures, and enhances machine performance, productivity, and uptime.
A key highlight is our patented Economizer technology, which allows operators to monitor compaction levels in real time, avoiding unnecessary passes and improving fuel efficiency. Additionally, the eco-mode feature optimizes fuel consumption, further enhancing operational efficiency. Compliant with CEV V standards, our compactors also include essential features like ROPS-FOPS for operator safety. Aligned with the MAKE IN INDIA initiative, ensuring cost efficiency while retaining the premium quality and precision of German engineering.
What are your after-sales initiatives?

This robust network is powered by a team of highly skilled service engineers who receive regular, advanced training in Germany. These experts provide nationwide support ensuring optimal machine performance and customer satisfaction.
Our state-of-the-art facility in Chakan, Pune, serves as the central hub for spare parts and service logistics, enabling swift and dependable assistance for all our machines.
At BOMAG, our mission extends beyond selling machines—we focus on ensuring their longevity, reliability, and peak performance through expert service, technical application support, and a customer-centric approach. This commitment underscores our role as a trusted partner in India’s growing construction industry.
What challenges faced in the industry you are in?
One of the primary challenges is the need to enhance application knowledge among customers. As an OEM, it is crucial for us to empower customers and operators by sharing expertise and providing comprehensive training. This equips them to effectively tackle site-specific challenges and optimize machine performance.
By investing in regular training and education, we aim to transform our customers into proactive partners who are better equipped to resolve issues independently. In today’s competitive market, customer delight goes beyond basic satisfaction—it’s about exceeding expectations and fostering long-term loyalty.
Customers who choose our machines already place their trust in us, and our goal is to ensure they feel confident and satisfied with their investment. By delivering unmatched support, superior machine performance, and a commitment to their success, we strive to build enduring relationships and maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
