What products or solutions are you showcasing at this edition of bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2024? What is your focus during the exhibition?
We are extremely happy to be part of bauma CONEXPO India 2024, the 7th international Trade Fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines and construction vehicles. We have been part of bauma for the last 10 years. Last year, we had a good footfall and it increased our business prospects. In bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2023, there were more than 41,000 visitors from 83 countries, more than 600 exhibitors from 26 countries showcased their products in 135000 m square exhibition space.
This year, we are showcasing many of our latest products that speak Hailstone’s core principles of innovation, efficiency and sustainability. Visitors to our stall would get to look and feel our Hail Track HT series, our mobile smart crusher and smart VSI. We are looking forward to meeting key players from around the globe, be part of many world premieres and experience entire ecosystems, from exhibitors and experts to start-ups and young talents to latest research developments.
What are your expectations for participating in bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2024? How do you plan to engage with visitors and stakeholders at the exhibition? Are there any specific goals or outcomes you are hoping to achieve from this event?
As the global leader in the crushing and screening industry, we will showcase our latest innovations at bauma. We also expect to meet key players at this international fair. We are excited to get first- hand information about innovations, meet target groups and learn more about the latest trends. Team Hailstone will be at the event to interact with the visitors and explain the unique features of our products. We have had tangible outcomes from the earlier editions of bauma and we wish the same will get replicated this year.
Sustainability is an increasingly important factor in this sector. What is your approach to sustainability, and how does it integrate with your product offerings?
We have a set target for sustainability and our team is working towards it. Our operations and our products are sustainability oriented. Our electric crushers and screens have been designed to reduce fuel consumption, cut operational costs by up to 25% compared to conventional equipment.
Our products have lesser emissions thus helping our customers achieve their sustainability targets. Hailstone's usage of lower-emission diesel engines and optimised engine configurations are conscious choices targeting sustainability. Our R&D team is also exploring options to integrate renewable energy sources.
Are there any regulatory or policy changes that you anticipate will impact the construction equipment sector soon?
The construction equipment industry is moving to the CEV stage V non-road diesel engine emission norms from January 2025, which will see a 12% to 15% increase in cost on account of both safety and emission regulations. India’s construction equipment industry has been doing very well and has been experiencing a healthy double-digit growth now and I expect it to grow further.
What are some of the key factors that you believe will shape the future of the construction equipment industry in India, and how is your company preparing for them considering its expansion plans in India?
The future of the construction equipment industry in India is being shaped by several factors including digitalisation, technological advancement and electrification. Team Hailstone is putting its best foot forward to exceed the expectations of the ever-evolving market.
