What is your focus in Excon this year?

Our focus is basically on large sized gear boxes. Of course, regular ones we are supplying to this industry in bulk numbers. But large sizes gear boxes we call it Maxxdrive is our focus.

Any launches or products on display at Excon?

In the same range, we have launched with extended centre, we call it Maxxdrive XD series. We are yet to get any sample to show to customers. That is the new launch in the same series.

What are its features?

It is thermally better and with more centre distance to suit many applications and there are also some new sizes introduced in that to suit to typical applications in this kind of industry.

Any challenges in this industry that you feel?

Not as such. Nowadays the challenges are supply chain and also sometimes the costing as raw material prices is increasing day-by-day. Otherwise, it is regular supplies what we are doing. Our advantage is that we have our assembly plant in Pune. So, we do a lot of advance planning to support to customers and deliveries mainly.

How do you look at future of Nord in the next five years?

We are targeting Rs. 500 crore because last year we achieved Rs. 200 crore plus turnover for the first time. By 2026, we are aiming to reach Rs. 500 crores.

What are your after-service initiatives?

We have a team of people for this because we believe in optimum selections where service requirement itself should be low but it is a mechanical product and it still needs and we have a concept of service partners. Like everyone has sales channel partners, we have service channel partners across India. They are trained and authorised by us. So, we have about 14 such partners across India. All customers who are using our product, they have this comfort by chance if something goes wrong they don’t have to send it all the way to Pune.
