How do you perceive the opportunities getting better for the infra companies as the Bharatmala project aims to ensure speeding up approval processes to enable quicker execution of projects?

Bharatmala is an Umbrella Program under the Road Transport and Highway Ministry of Govt of India. The projects are an excellent initiative for optimizing the Freight and Passenger Movement.

The Ministry has delegated powers to respective departments to expedite the approval process and enabled the Infra companies to take up challenging projects. This ensures continuity in usage of machines and continued employment to trained staff.

NCC has not taken up any project under Bharatmala Program. We have a track record of executing large scale contracts within tight schedules; we plan to seize every opportunity to transform road and highway networks under Bharatmala in future.

What kind of equipment and technologies are used in the road and highways under the Bharatmala project?

NCC has taken up and executed Road works in various states. We are using scientific planning and state of the art technology & equipment for achieving the targets.

Plants & Equipment

Latest & Higher Capacity Crusher, RMC Plants and Slip Form Pavers are deployed in the NMSCE Road Projects.

Chilling Plants were used to supply water @ 5 Degree to RMC Plant to achieve concrete production, supply and laying of DLC/PQC as per MORTH Specifications.

Precast Yard with System formwork & Gantries for executing Bridge’s I-Girders , Box  Culverts & Boundary wall.

Technology used in NMSCE Road Project, Maharashtra

NCC has initiated Digitalization of Plant & Equipment in Road Projects.

Digital Initiatives have injected new dimension to our project functions through infallible mechanisms.

Monitoring of All Mobile Equipments with GPS Tags & Fuel Sensors.

Tracking of Equipment’s Fuel consumptions, Location, productivity, maintenance.

Engine (Idle/Working) Utilizations and deviations, safety & security.

Alerts: Fuel, Geo Fencing & Route, Speeding, Consumption, Tampering.

Bio-Metric and Face Recognition Devices for Monitoring of Project Manpower.

This has enabled us to Improve;

Visibility:  Track all machines – owned &rented and manpower.

Cost:  Cut costs & emissions – manage idling, reduce fuel, maintenance, rental costs & CAPEX.

Productivity: Increases output by identifying bottlenecks, reduce cycle time & optimize shifts.

Safety: Avoid no go zones, monitor speed, out of hour’s operation & prevent theft.

With the Use of GPS Devices, we have created Geo Fencing for our Logistic / Mobile Equipment, so that we avoid the ecological sensitive zones and ensure the wild life were not disturbed during the execution of the project.

Major Contribution to the Project

Coarse & Fine Aggregates are the core requirements for success of any road project.

Crusher & Sand Plant are setup at strategic location to ensure production of the required quantities of aggregate and manufactured sand for supply to RMC Plants and enable un-interrupted production of Concrete for Bridges and DLC & PQC for Pavement works.

 RMC Plants were deployed at Strategic Locations with Capacity to Supply 300 Cum Per Hour consistently. This has enabled in un-interrupted paving of PQC and achieved good riding quality of pavement.
