How do you look at the present market conditions for your products?

Propel range of crushing and screening equipment have witnessed rapid growth in demand PAN India and also in the export markets. The market has rebounded after the pandemic and we are seeing a steady increase in demand across all segments. The government’s push on infrastructure spending has been a boon for the entire Construction Equipment Manufacturing Industry. The current trend is towards higher capacity machinery and hybrid machines which are gaining popularity.

Can you brief us on your export market?

Propel has a presence in 15 countries around the world. We are focussing on increasing our share of the export market and enter new countries. The new range of products we introduced in EXCON 2022 have kindled greater interest from across the globe. Propel successfully participated in Hillhead, UK in June and we are excited to participate in Bauma, Munich this October where we have a stall in Hall C2 | Stand 106.

Customers are becoming focused on green initiatives and savings in fuel costs and leaving a lesser carbon footprint. Could you please help us understand the green initiatives on product development undertaken by your organisation?

Propel has taken a lead in electrification of its track equipment. We offer multi configuration, high capacity (in the range of 200 TPH to 400 TPH) dual powered track plants which includes Jaw, Cone, VSI and Screen.  In addition to having a lower carbon footprint the hybrid machines provide huge savings in operation costs too. The incorporation of IoT & automation also increase efficiency of plants and lead to savings in power costs.

What are your after-sales initiatives for your range of products?

Propel has a dedicated service department with a laser sharp focus on providing 24/7 after sales support to ensure that the customers can run their plants with minimum downtime. We use a data driven proactive method to help analyse the condition of our plant and predict problems before they occur. This helps us prevent sudden outages, machine trips etc., and reduces maintenance costs and manpower required.

Improving machine uptime through predictive maintenance has been a huge success. This is a continuously evolving system and we are dedicated to keep improving our service and spares support in every way we can.

350-TPH-CONE-CRUSHER-(AVC-350)

What are the plans for electrification of the offering by your organisation? What typical challenges do you think the industry would face if we have to move to complete electric offering for the customers?

Presently our hybrid machines are becoming very popular among customers. Complete electrification will be an ideal solution in terms of protecting the environment and also reducing operating costs for the customers. But there are a few problems that stand in the way of complete electrification in India – supply chain issues, inconsistent government policies, uncertain customer behaviour and lack of trained professionals in this arena.

PROPEL-ASPHALT-PAVER-(PMP500)

With the heavy increase in the expenditure for infrastructure development in this country, how do you think you are going to utilise the opportunity? Are you planning to add more products in the future?

The infrastructure industry in India has huge potential for growth. The Government’s Gati Shakthi national master plan for multi modal connectivity and huge investment into infrastructure projects promises a very positive outlook for the CE Industry for the coming years.
