What is the present market outlook (size and value) for crushing and screening equipment? What do you think are the different growth drivers from roads, railways & mining sector?

Due to new road projects being rolled out, there was an increase in demand for construction and road building equipment and with these, the demand for Aggregates is also increasing where green field projects and expansion from 2 to  4 laning and 4 to 6 laning is being taken up. This has boosted the demand for Crushing and Screening units. Also, the development in road and rail sector will see a huge surge in demand for aggregates for construction. The new urban infrastructure projects also add up to the demand for aggregates and consequently for Crushing and Screening equipment.

What are the latest technology trends in this vertical and what are your offering in this space in helping your clients optimize production?

KLEEMANN crushing & screening plant systems are cleverly designed down to the finest detail and always have the overall process in mind.

Technologically these machines are far superior with regards to spective controls, interlink ages of plants, Wirtgen telematics as well as its core design elements which enables the customer to have a flexibility in operation and thereby achieve optimum production without compromising on the quality of aggregates crushed.

What is the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on this sector and what are the measures taken by you to support your customers during this crisis?

Wirtgen India’s Pune plant manufacture screens for the world market and are the biggest exporter from India. We have planned our inventory accordingly to meet the revised demand for Kleemann screens for the global requirement. Same is applicable to our plant in Goppingen, Germany where the crusher range of Impactor, Jaw and Cone are produced. We have adjusted our production plan accordingly at both plants.

We provide worldwide service and on-site application support. Therefore, optimal customer care and performance and availability of spares are guaranteed at all times. Quick technical support is our main priority. We ensure short response time & quick solutions through our experienced service technicians.

What are the challenges, risks and possible new avenues for the crushing and screening market?

Today’s buyer preference is towards continuous monitoring, machine availability and better return on investment. Kleemann with its standard unique features like spective controls and interlinking of machines through continuous feed system can maintain maximum availability of the machines, thanks to Wirtgen telematics which offers continuous monitoring of the machine throughout its lifetime.

All the Kleemann machines work under the concept of material flow. Our R&D team has given maximum importance for the same which has also resulted in the construction geometry of all our machines. A proper material flow helps the crusher or screen to optimize its production with better quality aggregates & reduce its energy consumption, which thereby gives our customer a better cost per ton.
