What are the current technology trends for your products in infrastructure equipment?
Ammann India is at the forefront of integrating advanced technologies in infrastructure equipment. Our current technology trends focus on asphalt recycling, sustainability & IoT. We are enhancing the efficiency and performance of our equipment by implementing predictive maintenance through IoT sensors, which help monitor the health of the equipment in real-time. Additionally, our machines are now equipped with advanced telematics for better fleet management and data analytics capabilities, enabling operators to make informed decisions and optimize operations.
In the rapidly evolving construction equipment industry, staying ahead of technology curve is crucial. One of the key trends that Ammann has embraced is the development and launch of hydrogen burners. Hydrogen burners utilize 100% green hydrogen for heating the aggregates in asphalt plants there by ensuring zero carbon emissions. We are also one of the pioneers in usage of embedded software across our compaction and paving range of equipment.
What sustainable innovations has your company implemented in your manufacturing processes?
Sustainability is a core focus at Ammann India. We have introduced several sustainable innovations in our manufacturing processes like energy-efficient systems and processes, such as LED lighting and optimized HVAC systems, to reduce energy consumption, laser cutting and robotic welding machines to ensure precise dimensions and reduce rework. Our manufacturing units follow strict waste management protocols including Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD), ensuring minimal environmental impact. Furthermore, we have embraced green building practices in our new facilities, incorporating rainwater harvesting and recycling systems. We also have plans for adoption of renewable energy sources like solar power for our plants.
How do your products help in extending the life of construction equipment?
Our products are designed with durability and longevity in mind, incorporating high-quality materials and advanced engineering. We offer comprehensive maintenance programs and support services to ensure that our equipment operates at peak efficiency throughout its lifespan. Our predictive maintenance solutions, powered by IoT and data analytics, help identify potential issues before they become major problems, thereby extending the life of the equipment. Additionally, our modular designs allow for easy upgrades and part replacements, further prolonging the equipment’s usability.
We even provide retrofit solutions to customers with legacy plants or to other brands. Our retrofit solutions cover every part of the asphalt plant including the mixers, burners, drying drums, bitumen and fuel tanks, conveying system, screens, bag house and even the control system.
Ammann places a strong emphasis on facilitating effective maintenance practices through our product design. Our equipment is equipped with features that simplify routine maintenance and inspection processes, making it easier for operators to keep machinery in optimal condition. For instance, our products often include user-friendly access points for key components, as well as diagnostic tools that provide real-time feedback on equipment health.
Moreover, we have also formed an Expert Cell for Asphalt Plants to help our esteemed customers with maintaining their plant efficiency and cutting down wasteful expenditure by ensuring timely maintenance. They also provide consultation services regarding latest asphalt technology adoption and integration.

Our equipment is designed to be fuel-efficient, reducing carbon emissions and operating costs. For example, we have introduced hydrogen-based burners to achieve zero carbon emissions, alternative fuels including diesel with up to 20% Bio-diesel, CNG gas etc. We use advanced emission control technologies to ensure compliance with the latest environmental regulations like the advanced bag house filters for asphalt plants.
