What was your company’s focus at bauma Munich this time?
We focused on the presentation of our new low emission range with 4 MEWPS (160 ATJ+e, 180 ATJe, 200 ATJe 4WS & 120 AETJ), 2 rotative telehanders (MRT 2260e & 2660e), and one compact fixed telehandler MT 625e. All these machines are 100% electric. We are really accelerating our energetic transition.
Moreover, we have launched a new range of thermic telehandlers with 4 models mid height from 7 to 13 meters (MT 735, MT 935, MT 1135, MT 1335, and a new MHT 11250 designed for heavy duty applications such as mining activities.
One of our objectives is to propose to our customers all the solutions that match their needs with these machines. We are talking about solutions at Manitou Group (including attachments & services)
How has Bauma Munich helped in leveraging opportunity for business development and growth?
It gave us the opportunity to liaise with our customers and present all the solutions in one place, and we had a lot of great contact during the show from all over the world.
What are the bottlenecks & suggestions to iron out those challenges in the construction equipment industry?
The main challenges for the construction sites/companies are the green transition, safety and workforce availability hence why our solution are key because:
– We have a full range of green machines with a complete range of solutions
– We have for our key equipment (telehandler and AWP) a safety pack allowing a better safety for the users => improve safety & working conditions is one of the pillar of the mission of Manitou Group
– Our solutions are allowing better productivity with a better handling of the materials.
What sectors are driving growth for your company and which continent has been drawing more demand for your products?
All sectors are growing at the moment (Agriculture, construction and industry) and all the continents are crying out for equipment. As a reminder, our order book is at a record level right now, with more than €3,5 bn.
