Tell us about the scope of the hydraulic hose market in India.

Hydraulic hose finds extensive usage for fluid conveyance in the core segments of Construction, Earthmoving, Mining, Oil and Gas Exploration, Metal processing and many other industrial segments where critical equipment is powered by hydraulics. Many of these applications require high power density and hydraulics is the preferred choice for both mobile and stationary applications.

How has the current pandemic situation impacted the demand-supply scenario of hydraulic hose?

Like many other industries, we have seen distinct slowdown of the demand in some of the key end markets like Construction, Mining etc. With unlock 4.0, we are seeing a gradual resumption of activity in most of the segments and we expect this gather pace in the coming quarters. With the Atma Nirbhar initiative, the domestic manufactures will be well positioned to grow, as the markets pick up.

We would like to know the innovative product developments in the hydraulic hose market.

The industry has been growing towards more compact and high-performance hoses and specialist products for niche applications at the same time offering reduced cost of ownership to the customer. Polyhose is well positioned to meet these customer expectations, with our large state of the art manufacturing facilities with capability to manufacture one of the broadest product portfolios in the industry.
