How do you rate your company’s journey so far and what do you think are the major factors contributing to your success saga in the construction equipment industry?

Ashar Locker India Private Limited is a Joint venture company established in 2007 set-up with the expertise of Locker Group Australia (a leader in screening media solutions for over 5 decades) with an aim to be able to offer the highest quality screening media for the global market manufactured in India. We have been the market leaders in this segment for screening media solution for decades. Ashar Locker is a one stop shop for all screening applications and is the only Indian manufacturer to offer the complete range of products under one roof. This gives us the ability to offer our customer complete screening solutions and prove our industry leading quality through our many on site-audits and performance reports.

Over the past decade we have penetrated into major markets like India, Middle East, Africa & Southeast Asia. Because of our Global footprint our customers enjoy faster service & supplies from Ashar Locker in case of any emergency or breakdowns making us their preferred choice for screening media solutions.

What has been the shift in buying patterns from the end-user segment?

Over the years there has been a significant shift from customers for good quality products. Our customers now understand the importance of products that add value to their processes resulting in higher productivity and maintaining lower cost per ton on their screening. Our regular on-site plant audits and performance reports helps them in improving their product quality as per their customer demands.

Tell us about the technological trends in your range of products?

We have always believed in innovation and technology because of which our products have been in huge demand across all the minerals in the industry. We are a total solution provider which differentiates us from the rest of suppliers in India. Our dedicated R&D team has always focused on developing products that create value for our customers. Some of our flagship products like the Anti-clogging screens have enabled our customers to operate their plants during heavy monsoons.

What differentiates your company from other competitive players in the construction equipment space?  

We have over five decades of experience in Screening segment and also, we are the only manufacturer in India to provide complete screening range to all our customers. We procure our wires from either Tata Steel Ltd or other equivalent wire manufactures from across the world. Unlike other competitors, we do not offer different quality for different markets. Our quality is as per Global standards and therefore our customers experience the same quality across the world. Also, our unique design and state of art manufacturing facility enables us to maintain strict tolerance limits for all our meshes.

What products are being showcased / launched at Excon and what will be your focus of display? 

We will be exhibiting our complete range of Wire mesh, Rubber, Polyurethane and Anti-clogging hybrid meshes along with the next generation Tufflex screens at Excon 2022. Our customers will have the opportunity to see all our products at display and interact with our team of experts to understand the importance of the right type of screening media for their plant. During the last couple of years there have been a lot of technological improvements in the screening media products, therefore, we will try our best to showcase all innovative solutions to our customers at EXCON.

What motivates you to participate at this Expo?

Excon has always been a great platform to showcase our product range to the complete Construction & Mining fraternity. It gives us an opportunity to connect with all the customers and understand their needs and provide an appropriate solution to them.

What are your expectations from Excon, especially after a period of lull due to Covid 19 pandemic?

This is going to be the first major construction & mining exhibition to be held post the Covid outbreak in India & hence we are very exited to meet all our customers in person after two long years. There have been quite a few technological advancements during the last couple of years & Excon will prove to be a great platform for us to showcase these advancements to our customers.

What is your insight on your company’s road map for next three years?

Last few years have been challenging for all of us due to the pandemic as we incurred huge losses in all our markets. The increase in steel prices further added to our problems as we had to renegotiate all our rate contracts and convince the customers to justify the price hike.

Our focus has always been on supplying world class products to all our customers at very competitive prices. Our strategy is to buildon market expansion in Europe and United States where we see significant potential for all our products.
