What types of construction equipment are your geared motors primarily used in?

Nord geared motors are integral part of all major critical construction equipment like belt conveyors for Stone Crushers, Batching plants, Asphalt mixing, travel drives and hoisting applications for Gantry Cranes.

What are the different torque capacities available for your geared motors?

Nord geared motors ranges from torque capacity from 10 Nm to 100,000 Nm comprising of Helical, Parallel shaft and Helical Bevel geared motors. Further now we have assembly line for Industrial Gear boxes also in our Pune plant, the torque capacity of these Industrial Gear boxes ranges from 15,000 Nm to 282,000 Nm.

What materials are used in the construction of your geared motors to ensure durability and reliability in harsh construction environments?

The gear box housing is of Grey Cast Iron GGG20 and we can offer GGG40 on demand to meet the stringent requirements. Apart from this it depends on optimum selection of geared motor and options like special seals, protection, oils to withstand in harsh environment.

What is the expected lifespan of your geared motors under typical construction equipment usage?

The geared motors are designed for life. The Unicase design of Nord geared motors ensures that there are no bearing seats, bolt on flanges in the body and further no sealing surfaces are subject to torque and overhung loads, hence no chance of leakages. This results in long service life, quiet running, high drive torque and high axis and radial load capacity of the geared motor. Right selection of geared motors and timely maintenance will give trouble free working for life.

Are there any special features or technologies incorporated in your geared motors to enhance their reliability and performance?

Offering Energy Efficient Helical Bevel geared motor against inefficient worm geared motors remains out topmost focus which is a step towards energy saving. The Unicase design of Nord geared motors ensures higher torque delivery in compact design. Quadra lip sealing ensures that there are 03 lips and fourth layer of oil and grease as a barrier for oil to come out.

What maintenance procedures are recommended for your geared motors to ensure their optimal performance?

We have set of laid procedures for Service and maintenance which should be followed to get the optimal performance and long life of the equipment. The procedures are supplied with every supply made to customer.

Do you offer customization options for your geared motors to meet specific construction equipment requirements?

We do have customized options specially for construction equipment to sustain the harsh environment and tough working conditions. Filtered vent/breather plug is a feature which is recommended for construction industry which prevents breather being choked even after heavy accumulation of dust on the gear box. We also have option to give IP66 motors and IP66 brakes to sustain harsh working environment at construction sites.

How are your geared motors designed to be environmentally friendly and comply with relevant emissions regulations?

We at Nord are committed to Go Green mission. To comply we always push energy efficient products against inefficient obsolete products coupled with premium efficiency motors (IE3), and Super Premium efficiency motors (IE4). All our geared motors are complying to CE and BIS marking.

We have our service team at Pune HO & own service engineers at New Delhi, Vadodara, Bangalore & Kolkata. Apart from this we have 14 service partners across India who are trained by NORD.
