What trends do you see emerging in the jaw crusher market?
There is a noticeable increase in demand for higher capacity jaw crushers. Customers are increasingly looking for primary operations that require minimal maintenance. Also, there is a market demand for jaw crushers that can suit a wide range of applications.
How is your company adapting to these trends?
Terex MPS offers a broad range of jaw crushers with capacities of up to 1500 TPH. Terex India has indigenized jaw crushers up to 600 TPH, with further indigenization planned. Our jaw crushers accept a wider range of feed compared to competitors in similar segments and have greater depth, offering larger volumetric crushing capacity.
What different models of jaw crushers do you offer in terms of feed size, output size, capacity, and power requirements?
Terex MPS manufactures 13 different models of jaw crushers with capacities reaching up to 1500 TPH. Specific models and power specifications can be provided upon request.
What technologies or innovations do your jaw crushers incorporate that differentiate them from competitors, enhancing performance, efficiency, and safety?
Terex MPS incorporates a hydraulic PLC-controlled CSS adjustment system as standard, which simplifies operation and maintenance. Our jaw crushers are designed to be easily mounted on tracks, wheeled units, modular systems, or civil structures. We offer jaw crushers up to 300 TPH on wheels, which can be installed without significant civil work. Our recently launched SWIFT range of jaw crushers can be easily relocated, erected, and commissioned within 2-3 days without requiring any civil work. Designed with operator and customer safety in mind, our jaw crushers have had no safety incidents or near-misses in the last 18 years of manufacturing. Due to their higher volume, our jaw crushers can produce higher capacity with significantly lower power demand.
What kind of customer support and after-sales services do you offer?
Terex is committed to providing unmatched after-sales and service support. Our systems are designed to optimize capacity and improve plant availability. We have heavily invested in after-sales service to ensure that our customers receive support within the shortest possible time. With a dedicated team of service members located at key locations across India, we are well-equipped to support our customers. We also maintain several strategically located warehouses to cater to after-sales needs. Additionally, we offer annual maintenance contracts and service contracts to our customers.
How do your jaw crushers contribute to sustainable practices (e.g., energy efficiency, reduced emissions)?
Terex MPS jaw crushers contribute to sustainable practices through their design, which ensures higher capacity with lower power requirements. This results in significant energy savings and reduced emissions, making operations more eco-friendly. Additionally, we offer a range of sustainable solutions for crushing, screening, and sand manufacturing. For example, our Terex Autosand machine produces high-quality Manufactured Sand (M-Sand) as an alternative to river sand. Over 100 Autosand machines have been supplied across India, with one of the largest installations capable of producing 300 tons of M-Sand per hour.
What are the challenges in the market, and how do you approach overcoming these challenges?
The availability of skilled labour and operators is a significant challenge in the current market. To address this, we regularly organize operator training sessions to improve their knowledge of best maintenance practices and plant operations. Another major challenge is the rising cost of power and fuel for operating the plants. Terex MPS units are designed for higher capacity with lower power requirements, resulting in major cost savings for our customers.
