We celebrate their achievements and are committed to providing a platform for all our employees to realize their full potential, irrespective of gender.

How do you assess scope for gender diversity in your company and what are the initiatives taken as a step forward?

We continually assess the scope for gender diversity in our company and are committed to implementing initiatives that promote a diverse and inclusive workforce. We have taken significant steps in this direction, including actively recruiting more female staff members across all verticals of our company, including the shop floor. We also provide training programs for aspiring female candidates who want to become expert operators of construction equipment.

What are the major roles assigned to women on the shop floor? And what steps have been initiated to promote their skill set?

Schwing Stetter India recognizes the importance of promoting the skill sets of women on the shop floor and have taken several initiatives to achieve this. We have assigned roles such as equipment operators, welders, and assembly line workers to our female staff members. We also conduct regular training programs in collaboration with our internal team and industry experts to promote their skill sets and ensure their professional growth.

What are the initiatives taken to ensure safety and quality working environment in the company premises?

Our company prioritizes the safety and well-being of our employees, and we have implemented several measures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. We conduct regular safety training programs and provide appropriate safety gear to all our employees, including the shop floor labourers. We also have a robust quality control process in place to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

 

What are the advantages of women workforce on the shop floor / company and how do you think the company is benefitted?

Having a diverse workforce that includes women has numerous advantages for our company. Women bring unique perspectives, ideas, and experiences that help us innovate and improve our products and services. Additionally, a diverse workforce has been proven to improve employee morale and productivity, resulting in better outcomes for the company.

What is the ratio of women employees on the shop floor / company? What are your plans to improve the same?

Currently, 25% of our shop floor labourers are women, and we are committed to increasing this number in the coming years. We have implemented several initiatives to attract and retain more women in our company, including providing training and development opportunities, promoting a flexible work environment, and ensuring equal opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.

How do you look at the challenges, if any, while hiring women on the shop floor and how do you address the same?

We understand that there may be challenges when it comes to hiring women on the shop floor. However, we are committed to addressing these challenges and creating a more inclusive work environment. We actively seek out female candidates and provide them with the necessary training and support to help them succeed in their roles. We also have policies in place to prevent any form of discrimination or harassment in the workplace, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all our employees.
