Grove’s GHC110 is a new 110 US ton (100 tonne) capacity telescopic boom crawler crane for the Americas. Manufacturer Manitowoc said it outperforms its closest competitors across all load charts.
The new model sits in the range below the 140 US ton (127 tonne) capacity GHC140 launched last year. “It’s like a tough younger brother for the GHC140, our biggest model that was revealed in 2020,” said JJ Grace, Manitowoc product manager for GHC cranes. “It’s a perfect fit for contractors who need stout load charts and high manoeuvrability.”
It has a five-section, 153.4 foot (47 metre) boom, giving a maximum tip height of 162 feet (49 metres). That is increased to 212 feet with the addition of the standard 49.2 foot (15 metre) bifold offsettable swing away jib.
