What sustainable technologies and practices has your company implemented in your range of construction equipment?
Sustainable Technologies and Practices: Metso has implemented a range of sustainable technologies in equipments, such as the use of biodegradable lubricants and energy-efficient engines in the Lokotrack® mobile crushing plants.
Metso integrates advanced technologies across the range of sand manufacturing equipment in India. The Metso crushers, including jaw crushers, cone crushers, and impact crushers, are designed for maximum efficiency in reducing materials to produce high-quality manufactured sand. Additionally, the washing equipment, such as MWS RocSand and air classifiers AC series, ensures thorough cleaning and grading of sand particles, minimizing environmental impact by optimizing water usage and reducing waste.
We also practice sustainable manufacturing processes, including recycling water and reducing emissions in our production facilities at Alwar factory.
How do you foresee the role of green technologies evolving in the construction equipment industry over the next decade?
Over the next decade, we anticipate green technologies will become even more integral to the construction equipment industry. Electrification of equipment, AI-driven efficiency optimizations, and carbon capture capabilities are likely to become standard features, significantly reducing the environmental footprint of construction projects.
Metso anticipates increased adoption of energy-efficient crushers, advanced washing equipment, and automated systems. These innovations not only enhance equipment performance but also reduce carbon footprints and operational costs, aligning with global sustainability goals of minimising this for the next decade.
What challenges do you face in incorporating green technologies, and how are you addressing them?

Metso addresses these challenges by continuously investing in their R&D where innovations in crusher design, washing technology, and automation systems to lower the cost.
