How do you rate your company’s journey so far and what do you think are the major factors contributing to your success saga in the construction equipment industry?
Pakona is a pioneer in manufacturing of pre-cast machinery for concrete elements like Pipes, Culverts, U-Drains, Cable Ducts and Manholes..etc. Our machines are made 100% at our works at Vadodara, Gujarat and adhere to the highest quality controls in sync with European technology and standards. As on today, we have manufactured and supplied more than 75 plants all over India. The market for precast concrete is growing and with government impetus on building highways for economic growth, demand for construction equipment is going to be positive.
What has been the shift in buying patterns from the end-user segment?
End users are looking for indigenously built equipment that can help them complete the projects on time. With the latest guidelines from NHAI wherein it will be henceforth mandatory to use precast concrete elements in at least 25 percent of total concrete volume, customers are shifting focus from cast in situ to precast manufacturing technology.
Tell us about the technological trends in your range of products?
Customers are now seeking automation and customization for manufacturing box culverts, stormwater drains and sewerage pipes. Smart city & other commercial developments are now designed with underground utilities like gas, power, stormwater etc pre-planned, thus necessitating the need of precast elements for wholesome development and meeting the demands of the growing city.
What differentiates your company from other competitive players in the construction equipment space?

We have been pioneer in automatic pipe manufacturing industry and hold the record of being fastest box culvert machine in India. We understand customer satisfaction is the bigger driver of Sales and our more than 90 percent retention of customers is testimony to that fact.
What products are being showcased / launched at Excon and what will be your focus of display?
Equipment those are tailor made for roads and highway sectors shall be displayed with a focus on Box Culvert machines, Hume Pipes, U drain and Bio Toilet Pods. We shall be launching Bio toilet Pods at Excon.
What motivates you to participate at this Expo?
South Asia’s largest exhibition, and opportunity to interact with prospective customers is what motivates us to participate at this EXPO
What is your insight on your company’s road map for next three years?
Pakona , Concrete Division is looking forward to expand its portfolio by launching new products that can help in nation building through infrastructure development. We have started our exports to SAARC nations and some countries in Africa and we look to grow in the international market in coming years.
