Please provide a brief overview of your Wheel Loader product range

Caterpillar operates by the straightforward concept, that our customers should make more money with our equipment than with any other machinery. We are always looking for methods to ensure that our customers get the best value possible, whether that means increasing productivity, using less fuel or mixing the two.

The bulk of wheel loader market in India can be segmented based on capacity into 3-ton and 5-ton. The former are small loaders suitable for lighter material handling tasks and smaller construction sites and the latter have a higher load capacity and are used for handling larger volumes of material, suitable for medium-sized construction or material handling projects. Customers are looking to capture more opportunities and be a part of different projects. They want to maximise productivity and do their jobs faster and more efficiently. This has led to a rising demand for 5-ton class of loaders. Cat Wheel loaders are designed to handle all the jobs on worksite. The machine is fine-tuned with the right technologies for the right applications which results in lower operating costs, higher performance, and improved reliability across a variety of applications. The machine is built with linkage options and an extensive range of work tools and bucket styles is available to customize these machines for customer’s operation.  

Our Hindustan 2021E wheel loaders continue to be the best-selling model in India. Hindustan 2021E comes with significant enhancements in engine system to comply with new CEV IV emission requirements such as Engine Control Module and efficient Exhaust After Treatment System. The machine is powered by powerful yet highly fuel-efficient 133HP Gross power 6 Cylinder Turbo Charged Engine. Standard machine comes with a spacious cabin, comfortable and adjustable seat with ergonomically placed consoles and Pilot operating Joystick levers for fatigue free operation with an Optional AC. Product Link (Telematics) a standard feature, wirelessly connects customers to their equipment giving them valuable insights such as location, hours worked providing the ability to track the machines remotely.

Can you provide technical specifications for your wheel loaders? (e.g., engine power, bucket capacity, operating weight, etc.)

Hindustan 2021E Wheel Loader is designed to maximize productivity and minimize operational cost. The following advancements have been made to its technical features, enabling customers to run their operations optimally:

• Caterpillar patented Performance buckets balance bucket shape, linkage design, weight, lift and tilt capacity
• The results are improved bucket load ability, higher fill factor, better material retention and shorter loading time.
• Lift arm design continues to provide the industry leading dump clearance, that makes it easier and faster for tucks and wagon loading

What types of customization options do you offer for Wheel Loaders to meet specific customer needs?

We offer several bucket options to meet different material handling needs of customers. E.g., for handling coal, aggregate, light materials, iron ore, fertilizers and other bulk materials, appropriately sized buckets are available. Aircon option is available for improved operator comfort. Dealer fit option of DGMS kit and Load Management System are available for jobsites where they are either mandatory or add value.

What after-sales support do you offer for your Wheel Loaders?

As a company, we are committed to understanding the needs of our customers and help them achieve the optimal product and jobsite energy lifecycle, allowing them to maximize value and minimize their total cost of operation. We are growing our reliance on services with a focus on digital-enabled solutions and aftermarket to strengthen our relationships with our customers. Our range of aftermarket services include ‘Aftermarket Performance Customer Value Agreements’ (CVAs), to support hassle-free service to customers at any point in the machine lifecycle to help maximize machine performance and utilization. This includes dealer technician support using genuine Cat parts for certain planned maintenance and fluid health management to help identify issues before they cause unexpected downtime.

Gainwell Commosales Private Limited (GCPL) supports Cat® customers in North and East India. For nearly 75 years, the dealership has served customers with parts, sales and service in the construction industry as well as mining and energy & transportation.

GMMCO has represented Caterpillar for almost three decades by serving South, West and Central India. “One-stop solutions” for customers in construction, road building and mining applications include both new and used products, as well as rental options.

How do customers reach out for technical assistance or parts for your range of Wheel Loaders?

Caterpillar works on a dealer model for the go-to-market function. Our dealers are the face of Caterpillar to our customers. They have all the technical information, training, access to the latest updates to provide reliable services to our customers.

They offer round-the-clock service through a network of around 4,000 people between the two dealers, who are, of course, supported by Caterpillar experts.
