Mining & Construction Equipment Division

Mining & Construction Equipment business of Voltas is a six decade old business and has been a major player of heavy earthmoving machineries in India. The division has the credit of launching many a global brand of heavy earthmoving machineries for mining in India from MACK dump trucks, international harvesters, Joy mining drills, Gallion graders, Dressta dozers, Terex-unit rig, Terex – O&K, Terex-Powerscreen, P&H, Hyundai, Letourneau, Detroit Diesel etc. The Mining & Construction Equipment Division of Voltas is headed by its Vice President, Sharad Thussu.

Voltas M&CE has been very successful by being agile and proactive in its approach when it comes to business association with its customers and its principals. The division specializes in host of Independent value added services in heavy earth moving machinery Viz: turnkey erection & commissioning of ultra large class mining machineries, operations & maintenance contracts, rental contracts, maintenance & repair contracts, annual service &  maintenance contracts, parts cap contracts, Reman & rehabilitation programmes, turnkey rebuilds & repairs, operator & maintenance crew training as per OEM standards, preventive & periodic maintenance programmes including condition monitoring, depot & rate contracts for OE spare parts.

Voltas  M&CE Global Operations

Voltas M&CE Division through its group company TATA Moçambique Ltd is the preferred service partner for mining machineries operating at Moatize opencast coal mining project of Vale Moçambique Limited. Tata – Voltas takes pride in working with Vale and maintain some of the largest fleet of loaders, excavators, dump trucks  and auxiliary equipment of diverse make viz  CAT, Komatsu, Letourneau etc. The company has diversified its service offering to ICVL & Jindal Moçambique too. Voltas has strengthened its international presence in Middle East counties by diversifying into maintenance services of mining machineries apart from its MEP & air-conditioning business.
