How do you look at the market dynamics of infrastructure equipment in India? What is the current demand scenario from these segments?

Market has recovered better than expectancy in 2022. Industry is on the growth path which seems to continue in 2023. Major push from government and also rising export from India has given a boost to infra market and this could even rise further in the years to come.
What is the current technological trends in geared motors market in India?
Trend is towards more automation in power transmission. It will need frequency drive with gearmotor. Also energy efficiency is the talk of the day. Use of IE3 motors is not far away and all the manufacturers are gearing up for this change. Rossi have introduced decentralize frequency drive unit for motor. It is addition to our already elaborate product portfolio and a step towards becoming complete system solution provider. On motor front, Rossi is already having motors upto IE4 and we are gearing up for IE5 motors to meet the market demand

OEMs look for compact but reliable products. Rossi products are better in power density i.e power to weight ratio. Rossi products are small but robust and give best reliability in the market. As I said before, the market is looking for higher energy efficiency, not only through drives and motors but also through more efficient gear drives.
ROSSI products consist of Gear Box & Gear motors of various type like Helical Inline, Helical Parallel, Helical Bevel, Worm and Helical Worm, Planetary, Industrial Gear Box and Rossi Engineering Products. ROSSI has introduced “i -Fit Series “range of products.
Customers need has not changed but they look more value in the product and services offered by the supplier. We do value selling and try to become true partner to customer.
How do you see opportunities in these challenging situations?
Supply chain disruption and sourcing challenges were major issues in 2022 that impacted raw material shortage, price and transportation cost. The companies that can navigate through these challenges will likely emerge as winners and can convert challenge into opportunities.
Customer-centric solutions and reliable products are key strength and strategy for us that distinguish us among our competition. We do value selling by optimizing customer experience with offering technical support, special features in the product, alternate products from wide product range, better deliveries, strong after sales support, etc. This gives winning edge to ROSSI.
ROSSI has heavily invested in the plant upgradation and capacity ramp up. Also, as the machine sizes are going up, we see ROSSI gaining market share due to its dominating medium and heavy-duty product portfolio.
How do you see the market recovery for geared motors going forward?
Market has showed heavy recovery in 2022. Although IMF data shows that there could be downward correction in the global market, yet, Indian market would stay robust due to its high domestic consumption and rising exports.
What are your expansion plan?
Rossi has state-of-art assembly facility at Coimbatore, India. We have doubled our plant capacity to around 18000 units and we are gearing up to the next level and plan to start another assembly facility in couple of years. Looking at market demand, Rossi India has added more product variants mostly medium and large size gear unit assembly in India. Rossi has also established Global Technical Support centre in India that would improve services to our customers.
