Construction equipment manufacturer JCB India Limited today inaugurated its state-of-the-art warehouse in Haryana, which will cater to its customers in the northern region.
Spread across 1.5 lakh sqft, the parts centre located at Bhaproda near Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway in Haryana, will cater to 15 dealer locations and contribute almost 40 per cent to JCB’s part business in India.
“This location gives us the unique advantage of having access to trained manpower, future scalability options and an approach to all major highways. By investing in this state-of-the-art warehouse infrastructure, we have continued to remain committed to the India growth story for over four decades. It will help in developing a local ecosystem for JCB machine owners and dealers and will also provide employment opportunities to more than 100 people, including women,” JCB India CEO and Managing Director Deepak Shetty said.
Enabled with the highest standards for safety and energy efficiency, the facility provides accurate control over inventory and transactions, while the TOC concept ensures material availability at the site and at the dealer’s end, the company said.
“We are seeing green shoots even while we are still in the pandemic, and this new facility will augment our support our customers who have reposed their faith in us further enhance the ownership experience of our products,” Shetty added.
With this new facility, JCB India’s total warehouse capacity has increased to 3.10 lakh sqft covering five locations in the country, including Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Guwahati.
“Establishment of these warehouses at strategic locations is aimed at a more efficient inventory management process and quicker shipping turnaround for customers,” the company said.
Currently, JCB India, which exports ‘made in India’ machines to over 110 countries, has five factories and a design centre in the country. The Group’s sixth factory in India is currently under construction at Vadodara, Gujarat.
