Piero Guizzetti
CEO, MB Crusher India
The expansion of our portfolio is a natural process that comes with our vision of becoming the de facto solution provider for all attachment requirements.
Could you please brief us on the core competencies and strengths of MB, globally and in India?
Our products are applied to the crushing, screening, cutting and excavation industries. Our attachments, which increase the utility of the machine, cut costs and increase on site efficiency, brag a dominant global market share which I am happy to say we have been able to also garner and maintain in the Indian market. In India, we are the only player with a consolidated presence in the country and reach throughout the territory that is fully dedicated and focused on attachment solutions for crushing, screening and stone excavation requirements.
From one product in 2001, MB has introduced over 30 models / variants so far. That’s an enviable number. So tell us about your R&D and what makes you to bring such variety of models/variants?
We want to be there for all requirements of our clients when it comes to attachment solutions, in breadth and depth; however, doing so in a gradual manner that is sensitive to the market dynamics and demand. For products improvement we have a very dynamic internal feedback mechanism whereby our sales and service teams from the respective subsidiaries across the world are required to provide a particular set of data back to our Technical Department in Italy. The info, both qualitative and quantitative that comes directly from our users in different working environments from across the world, is then used to unearth the most sought after improvements which we incorporate with the launch of our new series for each model. The expansion of our portfolio is a natural process that comes with our vision of becoming the de facto solution provider for all attachment requirements. Hence, whenever we see an opportunity to enhance the trust we have gained from our clientele, and we believe we can bring something different in the market in terms of quality of product and service; we explore and eventually enter any such new product category.
India being a huge market and its customer being more sceptical, specifically with regard to the utility aspects of bucket crushers compared to the static ones, how do you address these challenges?
Patience is seen as positive within MB. Patience to get things correct, to ensure we know our customer and their requirements in a comprehensive and detailed manner. At the same time we are very focused on our product categories and hence maintain a dynamic structure that is able to quickly adapt to market shifts.
It has taken us a bit of time to educate the Indian market, but we are seeing the benefits trickling down and the more we are able to display the savings in terms of transportation, logistics, time and other related aspects, we expect India to grow exponentially.
How handy is MB crushers when it comes to road projects?
For road projects, we are humbly confident that there is no better solution. By default as one builds a road, he may start close to the source of GSB material, but he will eventually have to start trucking the material to the site as the road is constructed. With MB one can be 100% independent, satisfy all requirements directly at site in line the progress of the works, and does not require auxiliary machines, items, systems, conveyor belts, etc.
MB was supposed to launch a new product in a new category towards the end of the first quarter of the calendar year 2018. Could you throw some light on this?
Your memory serves you correct. As of May 1st, 2018, we have launched our range of drum cutters. We currently have 4 models suitable for excavators ranging from the smaller size excavator all the way to 35 T class excavators, any make and any model.
Why should a client for its crushing and screening projects opt for MB range?
Very plainly speaking because we have an installed base globally and in India that nobody can claim, not even close I may confidently dare to say. We have a virtual stamp of approval from the market that has been renewed every year since our inception in 2001, the longest in the industry. Most importantly, in India we are the only player working exclusively in our niche segments, with widespread presence throughout the country in
terms of sales, service, spare parts and inventory.
