Doosan Infracore has completed manufacturing of its first prototype battery pack, which will accelerate its battery pack business.

With this prototype, it is expected to produce its first battery-powered 1.7-ton electric excavator early next year after undergoing equipment mounting tests.

In another development, the company will provide 15,000 eco-friendly engines to Chinese forklift manufacturer Linde China, part of Kion Group.

The company competed against several other major German and Japanese manufacturers to secure
the contract, which will see its new high-efficiency G2 engines installed on the firm’s smaller forklift models.

According to Doosan, Linde China selected it as the winner based on the quality, overall eco-friendliness and the competitive price of its G2 engines.
