How do you rate your company’s journey so far and what do you think are the major factors contributing to your success saga in the industry?

Nord India with its strong vision for customers’ delight and support has recorded an upwards surge in its operations since inception. We have delivered strong 2021 results with fourth quarter well planned & executed. We have achieved the milestone of 200 Cr plus turnover for the first time and this achievement is a testimony and trust bestowed by customers on us. Thanks to all our customers, partners & suppliers for their support and sincere efforts across the departments and also from overseas teams. The strong business momentum we experienced throughout the year, resulting in performance well aligned with our objectives

What has been the shift in buying patterns from the end-user segment?

Companies are more leaned towards enhancing their power transmission capacity to save overall manufacturing cost and improve system efficiency. The Nord gear motor is combination of a gearbox and an electric motor widely used for improving process efficiencies which is Industry 4.0 ready. It simplifies the design and implementation by eliminating the step of separately designing and integrating the motor with gears, thus reduces the overall engineering cost as well as improvement in efficiency. More productivity, more efficiency, and increased driving comfort – these are the requirements of any machinery must meet. Evolution and spread of technology have redefined work methodology in most areas. We believe in offering highly efficient systems solutions to our customers. The advance gear motors are optimised for noise reduction, increase in the strength and improved life. Thus, gear motor offers a wide variety of advantageous property to enhance the efficiency of the machine and reduce the operational cost.

Tell us about the technological trends in your range of products?

Nord Drivesystems introduced a revolutionary geared motor in a hygienic wash-down design one year ago, where the especially energy-efficient IE5+ permanent magnet synchronous motor and a single-stage helical gear unit are installed in one single housing. The completely new, compact design with full integration of motor and gear unit in one single housing is an extraordinary leap in the development of geared motors and has now been successfully patented. The long-term durability and reliability of the innovative solution in terms of design and materials has been successfully proven in months of testing during the development of the DuoDrive, and thus real pioneering work has been accomplished in the field of geared motors. The integration has been decisively advanced to achieve an optimal utilisation of installation space. Along with the IE5+ motor on which it is based, the encoder, speed feedback and brake are all safely accommodated in the housing. In addition to the high system efficiency, the smooth, unventilated and compact design, and the quiet running with minimum noise emissions are further important features of the new DuoDrive geared motor. Elimination of many wearing parts results in lower maintenance.

What motivates you to participate at this Expo? And What are your expectations from Excon, especially after a period of lull due to Covid 19 pandemic?

Infrastructure sector is a key driver for the Indian economy. The sector is highly responsible for propelling India’s overall development. Excon being one of the largest construction equipment exhibition in South Asia where 1500+ exhibitors exhibits on 3,00,000 sq. mtr of exhibition display  area. 80,000+ business visitors across the globe are expected to participate in the show which is a wonderful platform for the participants to meet, interact and create new business contacts to boost the growth potential of the construction sector. It is most awaited show for everyone as its happening almost after 2 years, We are excited to meet all our well-wishers there. Our participation at Excon will further enhance company’s vision and move ahead in partnering with customers. We will be showcasing our best drive solutions for construction equipment industry.

What is your insight on your company’s road map for next three years?

The main agenda is to be partner in growth for our customers. We are continuously inventing new products to suit the demands from various industry sectors. With expanding capacities in India in coming years, we aim to deliver the products in shortest possible time to our customers.
