How do you look at the roads and highway market in India?

India’s market for roads and highways is currently experiencing a positive growth trajectory. With the government’s focus on infrastructure development and the implementation of initiatives like the Bharatmala Project, there is a significant demand for road and highway construction and maintenance. The National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) has allocated a substantial budget for infrastructure investments, including road and highway networks. This, coupled with the increasing urbanization and modernization efforts in the country, creates a favourable market for the roads and highways sector in India.

As a leading provider of construction equipment, CASE understands the importance of prioritizing the well-being and satisfaction of operators. Our goal is to deliver equipment that not only meets industry benchmarks but exceeds them, ensuring that our customers have access to the most advanced and reliable solutions for their construction needs.

Can you provide information about the engine or power source used in your equipment (e.g., engine type, horsepower, emissions standards compliance)?

Our equipment, such as the CASE 952EX Soil Compactor, is equipped with a state-of-the-art electronically turbocharged engine. The engine is compliant with BS (CEV) IV emission standards, ensuring that it meets the latest environmental regulations. The engine delivers variable horsepower options at 220 RPM, offering three power levels: 193HP, 205HP, and 220HP. This range of power options allows for versatility and efficient performance in various applications, including road compaction and mining. By incorporating advanced emission control technology, such as a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) system, the engine achieves comprehensive after-treatment, resulting in reduced emissions and better environmental performance. This ensures that our equipment not only delivers high productivity but also prioritizes sustainability.

Overall, our engines are designed to provide exceptional responsiveness, improved fuel efficiency of up to 5%, and comply with the stringent emissions standards laid out by BS (CEV) IV, making them reliable and environmentally-friendly power sources for our equipment.

Explain the type of compaction method used by your equipment (e.g., vibratory, static, pneumatic, etc.)?

Our equipment, such as the CASE 952EX Soil Compactor and 1107EX PD Soil Compactor, utilizes a vibratory compaction method. Vibratory compaction involves the use of eccentric weights that rotate at high speeds to create vibrations in the drum of the compactor. These vibrations are transmitted to the soil or asphalt surface, causing it to densify and compact effectively.

The vibrating drum of our compactors generates both vertical and horizontal forces, which work together to achieve optimal compaction results. The vertical force helps to compress the soil particles, reducing voids and increasing the density of the material. The horizontal force aids in levelling the surface and distributing the compaction evenly.

By employing vibratory compaction, our equipment can achieve greater compaction depths and results compared to static compactors. The vibrations penetrate and effectively compact a wider range of soil types, including granular and cohesive soils. This method also enhances the compaction of asphalt layers, ensuring a smooth and durable road surface.

Furthermore, our compactors offer adjustable vibration frequencies and amplitudes, allowing operators to tailor the compaction process to suit specific soil or asphalt conditions. This flexibility ensures optimal compaction and improved productivity on various construction sites.

What kind of maintenance and support services do you provide for your equipment?

Our commitment to customers extends beyond the point of sale, aiming to ensure the long-term success and contentment of those who rely on our equipment.

What kind of initiatives or practices does your company offer in your machines to minimize the environmental impact?

CASE is resolutely committed to reducing the environmental impact of its machinery through a series of forward-looking initiatives and sustainable practices. We have already made the transition to meet the more stringent BS (CEV) IV emission standards and are actively planning to move towards the even more eco-friendly BS (CEV) V in the upcoming year. This transition ensures that our equipment remains in alignment with the latest emissions standards, significantly reducing their environmental footprint.

In a pivotal move dedicated to environmental sustainability, CASE has taken significant steps to reduce emissions at its manufacturing plant, exemplified by generating 25% of its energy from solar panels. This commitment to eco-friendly practices has now culminated in the introduction of electric backhoe loaders, which offer a cleaner and more sustainable solution for construction needs. This innovative electric machine reflects our unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of eco-friendly construction equipment and signify our readiness to bring this product to the Indian market when it is prepared to embrace this cutting-edge technology.

CASE’s Loader Backhoe exemplifies our dedication to striking the perfect balance between power and efficiency. Outfitted with an advanced Electro-Hydraulics variable displacement pump and the dependable FPT S8000 engine, this machine excels in demanding loader applications. Its swift response times and remarkable fuel efficiency translate to substantial savings of up to 24% in fuel costs. Operating in three distinct modes – ECO, STANDARD, and POWER – the machine caters to diverse needs, delivering fuel economy, productivity, and heightened efficiency, respectively.

CASE has also introduced a range of compact machinery options designed for enhanced efficiency and reduced emissions. These compact machines not only minimize their environmental impact but also offer versatility and efficiency on construction sites.
