Industry is driving for bringing innovation in technology that can reduce construction time and cost.
Vishwesh Rai, General Manager, Fayat Road Equipment - Sales India
Can you provide a brief overview of the primary features and capabilities of your road equipment? Are there any specific technologies integrated into your road equipment for optimizing performance?
In current scenario it is demand of time that we need innovations for speedy and quality road construction. Dynapac has inherited culture of continuous improvement & innovation for superior performance and reliability.
In compactors we have optimized eccentricity for better fuel efficiency & economy. Dynapac is the first manufacturer to offer the first optimized design of eccentric system for rollers. This design is optimized for maximum performance, low fuel consumption and minimum environmental impact. Almost 11 kW less power is required to initiate the vibratory action, reducing energy consumption at start-up by 50% and thus using less fuel. Dynapac equipment are equipped with high degree of intelligent compaction system.
Parallelly, we provide compaction meter which reduces the inspection period of checking density, eliminates the chances of double bouncing and over compaction. Compaction Meter can also be used as initial proof if the compacted area is homogeneous and there is no organic material in the lower layers.
Dynapac CompBase software bases the selection of machine and method on the material to be compacted. The software provides information on the expected depth effect and degree of compaction after any given number of passes. Accordingly, compactor is designed with a higher static linear load and optimized engine power which reduces fuel consumption and desired density is achieved in fewer passes.
Dynapac Seismic technology automatically detects the frequency of the soil characteristics, works together with it, and applies the correct amount of energy exactly when required. Dynapac Seismic will reduce fuel consumption, eliminate any unnecessary wear and tear and even reduce the number of passes required to reach the optimum compaction.
Dynapac equipment also comes with best-in-class static linear load. Higher static linear load plays a significant role in achieving desired density and stiffness earlier with low number of passes. Hence providing an advantage of saving time and fuel.
How do you ensure the reliability and durability of your road equipment under various operating conditions / What are the key factors you consider when designing road equipment for optimal performance?
We prioritize key factors in our design process to ensure the creation of products tailored to specific applications. Our equipment is engineered for optimal performance, longevity, cost-effectiveness, quality outcomes, enhanced productivity, confidence in Jobsite operations, operator safety, and ease of maintenance. In compactors, we have efficient eccentricity to enhance fuel efficiency and economic viability. Dynapac pioneered the adoption of this efficient eccentric system, setting a benchmark in the market. Furthermore, our equipment features advanced intelligent compaction systems, reflecting our commitment to innovation and technology integration.
How do you address challenges such as fuel efficiency and emissions reduction in your road equipment?
As of the current date, our equipment adheres to CEV IV regulations in accordance with government directives. Additionally, we are presently conducting trials on machines that meet the requirements of CEV V emission standards, which are scheduled to be enforced from January 2025.
How do you provide training or support services to help operators maximize the performance of your road equipment?
CE Industry is heavily dependent on the machine operator. A skilled and well-trained operator is the need of the hour and plays an important role in ensuring enhanced stakeholder experience, Safety at Worksite and ultimately profitability. We at DYNAPAC are collaborating with IESC to develop a DYNAPAC Course Curriculum for Operator Training. The Curriculum will focus of training operators with Machine Operations, Preventive Maintenance and Safety, Health & Environment. The program will be conducted through professionally run certified training partners, Dealer Training Centers & hands on machine training at site.
Currently, we are also running Dealer Operator & Technician trainings at our factory site in Pune. The vision for the future is to deliver DYNAPAC know how through direct as well as partner training centres pan India.
How do you incorporate feedback from users into improving the performance of your road equipment?
We systematically administer surveys and feedback sessions, both internally by our team and externally through third-party channels, engaging with end users and operators. These initiatives are designed to optimize the overall customer experience.
What maintenance practices do you recommend to ensure the long-term performance of your road equipment?
We assist our customers in achieving their project objectives by optimizing equipment performance and ensuring operational continuity through our dedicated team of service technicians. We offer Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) for our Compactors and Pavers.
Additionally, we implement scheduled maintenance intervals for our equipment to ensure consistent performance and longevity.
How do you foresee the future of road equipment evolving in terms of performance optimization?
Industry is driving for bringing innovation in technology that can reduce construction time and cost. With a wide range of product portfolio as well as our global presence we are trying to bring new solutions to our customers to meet this need. This has been amply demonstrated in our product introductions in last two years from our Pune plant. Changing for better is in Dynapac’s DNA. Since last eight decades, Dynapac has always been at the forefront of sensing the environmental, technological and developmental changes. And we are also the first to fully operationalize these changes in our widest range of products and other offerings.
