What is your focus on Excon this year?
This year we want to focus on optimised productivity and smart technology that we offer to the customers through our machines in the construction segment. We see colossal business opportunities and potential in the infrastructure industry, and we would like to tap into it to leap ahead on our journey of ‘Building India’.
Were there any launches this year during Excon?
We decided to refrain from making any new launches this year and focus on our existing product range instead. We have displayed a variety of smart solutions aimed purely for the construction segment like small, medium and heavy breakers, drum cutter, etc.
What are the features of the products on display?
Our company is almost over 149 years old. We have a long history which comes with a lot of responsibility. Our product offerings embody our consistent efforts in optimising technology, performance, safety and sustainability. We aim to provide best in class and reliable solutions to our customers.
What are the challenges you face in the market?
The construction segment is a highly competitive area. However, we are very confident of the quality of products and services we offer. Epiroc is synonymous with adaptability and as more and more newcomers enter the market, creating grounds fora good and healthy competition, we channelise our efforts into enhancing our offerings.
Can you brief us on your after-market initiatives?
I think our after-market initiatives are one of the strong advantages to our brand as we always try to provide superior service to all our customers. That is how we have managed to build a loyal network of customers and partners over the years. Out of the various initiatives we have, one that stands out particularly is the concept of Service Van which is basically ‘parts on wheels’ giving the convenience of a repair team coming and repairing the equipment at the site itself while also enabling quick and efficient door delivery of spare parts to the customer site before they even think about spurious parts. Hence it is a significant tool to effectively promote the after market activity.
What is your sustainable goals for Epiroc?
Epiroc is committed to 2030 sustainable goals for People and Planet. Our people are one of our most important assets and we therefore have the goal of no work-related injuries. A balanced workforce is important and a challenge and we therefore have set the target to double the number of women in operational roles.
