What was your focus at bauma CONEXPO INDIA?
This year at bauma Conexpo, we were focused on displaying our new technologically-driven state-of-the-art products; interacting with our customers to understand their requirements, and gaining valuable feedback. We were also focused on interacting with other industry players and understanding the new technology driving the market demand.
What were your key products on display at bauma?
At this bauma Conexpo, we launched two new ‘Made for India’ mobility solutions under our sub-brand the EARTHMAX series. One of these products was our EARTHMAX Crusher Haul which has been designed for on and off-road quarry and haulage applications. This all-steel radial tire is made from a special compound that makes it chip and wear-resistant, giving it a longer tire life. It is perfect for Tippers in the construction segment and has excellent traction.
The other product launched was the EARTHMAX SR 34. This all-steel radial tire has a ‘non-directional block’ tread pattern and is specifically designed for mining applications. It is suitable for any type of terrain, can handle heavy loads, and has excellent traction, making it perfect for wide-body mining trucks.
The Indian government has put an impetus on speeding up infrastructure projects in the country which has put pressure on the construction equipment and component industry. How do you see the market for your products?
The Indian government has been undertaking various infrastructural projects to help the development of the country and to boost the economy. These infrastructure projects form the cornerstone of our economy and will play a major role in supporting and advancing India’s goal of being a $5 trillion economy by 2025. These projects include airports, national highways, ports, and railways and are being developed according to the Government’s planned timelines. With the expansion of these projects, there is pressure on the construction industry to build technologically advanced equipment and reduce carbon emissions. However, I believe that the industry has been well prepared and long awaiting impetus for the development of this sector. These projects are an incredible opportunity for the construction industry to grow and expand. We, at BKT, have also been analyzing the needs of the market and developing products with a futuristic approach and we believe that our products are game-changers for the dynamically changing construction industry.
